A /lit/ Sharethread

239 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Let's have a sharethread, shall we? It doesn't matter if you use a link that's already online or if you upload it yourself, nor does it matter if the book is rare or not - just share/recommend something you've been enjoying with the /lit/ family. Additionally, since we're at the literature board after all, feel free to write a little bit on why do you like the book, its subjects, etc. Some ebook sites, in case you want to share something but don't have the file at hand: http://gen.lib.rus.ec/ http://bookzz.org/ http://forum.mobilism.org/viewforum.php?f=120 I'll start right below with an ebook uploaded today at Bibliotik that I'm finding a great read (but I'll nick an Amazon description since I'm not a native speaker). Also, if there's something you can't find anywhere else feel free to request it and I may upload it for you if Bib has it. Just can't promise since I still have to worry about ratio (it goes without saying then, no book collections).

I'm trying to understand ones identity better. What is is, what it means to us - the whole shebang. Have you read, or do you know of any books that can help me with this? Psychology treatise or novels, it doesn't matter.

Alright /lit/, I checked the wiki and couldn't find any specific charts for him, does anybody have an idea what order might be most simple to tackle his work? Also, if you have a particular piece that you enjoyed by him, do feel free to explain why.

ITT: We describe mundane and everyday things with ridiculous embellishment or exaggeration. I'll start; It was hot that day and I became more perched with each step on my journey. By pure serendipity I came upon a dispenser of canned refreshments. This automatic vendor required money to be operated, which I duly presented. The machine purred and wheezed when I inserted the coin and pressed the button, yet no beverage came out. “Come on you bastard,” I said. There was no reply. Unrelenting, I proceeded to hammer the side of the device with the open palm of my hand. All while eagerly eyeing the product tray expecting the receptacle of liquid which would deliver me from my thirst. When no such reward presented itself I became increasingly frantic and desperate, hurling insults at the byzantine contraption that stood before me. After a short while it dawned on me that my efforts were fruitless and that I would need outside assistance in retrieving the prize within or at the very least reclaim my lost funds. I proceeded to walk inside the establishment nearby which by all likelihood owned and operated this piece of faulty machinery. Expecting justice to be done I entered within...
