Screenwriting, where should I start?

1 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Hi everyone, anon here! I know this should go to /adv/, but I already did and received too little feedback :/ Writing is my passion so I enjoy expressing ideas and stories. Screenwriter sounds pretty cool, but maybe its a thought of mine... maybe its not that wonderful. More exactly, i thought about video game screenwriting. You know, storytelling but focusing in the aspects of gameplay (is that, isnt it?). But i would like to hear also opinions from other fields as films or tv series. Some of my person to put in context: > 21, studying industrial design engineering 3º year. > not so many friends because i feel losing time with them (they want a normal life, lazy to pursue dreams, and so they want for me) > Never wrote stories for the public. My only openly experience was as a video game editor for some national press.

Philosophers Who Wrote About Masturbation

69 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Immanuel Kant regarded masturbation as a violation of the moral law. In The Metaphysics of Morals (1797), he made the a posteriori argument that "such an unnatural use of one's sexual attribute" strikes "everyone upon his thinking of it" as "a violation of one's duty to himself", and suggested that it was regarded as immoral even to give it its proper name (unlike the case of the similarly undutiful act of suicide). He went on, however, to acknowledge that "it is not so easy to produce a rational demonstration of the inadmissibility of that unnatural use", but ultimately concluded that its immorality lay in the fact that "a man gives up his personality ... when he uses himself merely as a means for the gratification of an animal drive". Any other philosophers vehemently opposed to masturbation? Or just writers in general, or psychologists, or scientists.

Do you enjoy reading stories of people you don't like? Should my characters be at least a little bit "likable"?

Didn't see one in the catalog. I'll start - You came floating over the ground, eyes red and wet. The hocketing spirits chanted “kiss, kiss, lux, kiss, come with us into the night that spins and spins over our heads oh our heads that nod and our heads that break at the noise”. To the rhythm of your self-similar silence, I felt you, I felt you kicking and clawing in the dark and I held you still for an instant that pounded at the gates of my eyes and ears, O ocean eyes that spill and burst upon my bulwarks, red and fleshy, red and pleading, I love thee!

Ok, /lit, trying to get my sister, 16, to read. She now reads YA, not impressed by China Melville. She is stiffheaded little bitch, are there lit tier biographies on Calamity Jane or similar? As she seems to have more interest in non fiction. She is not stupid, just lazy. tl;dr patrcian books for young women? >inb4 "literature is genderless"
