You have a child. He is very impressionable. The books you give him to read will shape his entire world view and personality. If you just let the school dictate what he needs to read them hell turn out a cuck. Your list now. Do it for a boy and a girl. But if you can only do one then do it for a boy.

How does it feel that a 4 year old is better read than you? You will never be recognized for your literary skill. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/314128-4-year-old-who-has-read-1000-books-named-librarian-for-the-day

Post your drivel, anons. I'll start with mine. I certainly think that mine is a mere rhetorical exercise, but it is perhaps marginally more successful than what I've so far attempted. Perhaps you'll disagree. Sursum Corcula Look up, Hermeneuticist! from that yellowing book, For every man is a darting-eyed crook Who steals his eyes away from the Light Of This world (that is, women’s eyes): Who steels his heart In necessary flight From all Fact that too freely flies From the distillery of art. Look up! from that sapphirine screen, that idiot’s work, And look no more for the figurative in the literal’s murk; Though unrequitedness give pleasure in pity, Though persiflage Seem to take the bricks from the prison wall (And seeming is all); Though all easy enigmas be founded on Joyce, Life is not a bricolage: Despite divers boredoms and cryings, Ignorings and descryings, There exists a single and impossible solution To Humanity; One must cross the painful waters of Union And still find a filthy hovel wherein to rejoice. Though the world have found another man, And God another woman, Still thou must needs lose then find then lose Thyself in the waters’ span: Banish the wisdom of the Jews! Banish the Wisdom of the Human! The sage parts the waters with his death-dimmed hand: Slowly his body and hand are turned to stone. The stone remains forever, though there be no Promised Land: The wind mixes the sound of the gong and the ecstatic groan. By the way, the title, "Sursum Corcula," I meant to mean, "Uplift your little hearts," but I'm not certain if corculum is the proper dimuitive of cor. If someone who knows the Latin better than I do could confirm or correct me, i would greatly appreciate it.

>Why great classic composers were more productive than great writers? >Why composers have more easiness to create large portions on the work inside their minds and only after that putting it on paper but writers seem to need the formulating of the phrases on the paper (even though they might have imagined the scene and the characters before, but not the words that will eventually flesh them up)?

Post-modernism thread

21 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Post-modernism is accepted to have started as a reaction to modernism, which profoundly marked the 20th century world. But when exactly did post-modernism end? Or has it not ended yet? And if it has ended, what era after post-modernism are we living in now? Other than authors who say post-modernism is this or that and make no meaningful critique but just put negative labels, can you please recommend me some philosophical works that thoroughly refuted the entire logical construct behind post-modernism? If there are any of course. Pic slightly related.

In bush's war on terrorism, he said he didn't care what country was affiliated with islam, that he would nuke em anyway. Bill o reilly said nuke the airports the water supply and the roads. Dan rather said that he would follow the president and do whatever he wanted. What in the actual fucking insanity kind of mind control are these fucking nitwits under. What world do they live in. Killing children. Psh.

Daily reminder that 99% of you really suck at writing. You'll never go anywhere. Your analysis of works are laughable. You probably have some failure complex that leads you to write, to grasp at something that isn't there in an attempt to save your precious egos. I laugh at every critique thread there is here. You guys have no talent. No talent whatsoever. Have fun being rejected. t. Person of Colour who has a literary agent at 21, three short stories already published, one in print and two on the web, and promising responses from my editor at a major publishing company who was hooked up to me through my agent. Yay for white guilt!

How is this? From what I understand it has a much different approach to 'feminism' than what we often see.

is there any philosopher that supported the view of redpill philosophy? trying to get a purely objective unbiased view on women. My only experience with the. is being rejected and insulted by them. I obviously won't let that bias my philosophy ofc. I've read Schopenhauer and memes aside it sounds exactly like an r9k post. And if you study his life it makes entire sense why he was so bitter.
