Poetry translation from Italian

I'm Italian mother tongue, and I was thinking about starting a project of translating a minor Italian poet in English.
I've tried with a small piece of one of his works.
I'm not a real expert in the English language, nor a professional translator, but I wanted to give it a try.
If you want to read it and give me some advice, it will be very appreciated.

Dear /lit/zens, hello.
I need your help. I'm looking for a nice German book. It's been a fair while since the last time I went through a German literary journey, and now, well, I notice I'm not even able to read an article at ease. Thus, I suppose it's time to get back to the grind. In this great enterprise, I need a nice novel. Not too difficult, nor the German Harry Potter equivalent.
The last novel I read in German was Die Andere Seite (Kubin). But the best remains Der Mann ohne Eigenschaften (Musil). Even though, I must admit, I read it partially in German. It's a damn big book, so I opted for the French version, and read from time to time German excerpts. I said this so that you can somehow identify my tastes.
So, now you have any recommandation? Thank you very much. I owe you one.
