Siege by James Nolan Mason

Let's discuss Siege, the collection of National Socialism's most eccentric writer and Charles Manson follower James Mason: >James Mason’s outrageous and highly readable Siege was drawn from a newsletter that he published from 1980 to 1986. It consists, therefore, of short articles and essays that you can easily read just about anywhere. There is a “big picture” here, but it is like a photo-mosaic created from many overlapping little pictures. >Mason sees the most important truth about the world today: The White race is in danger of extinction unless we preserve White living spaces from the destructive influx of other races. If we don’t fix this problem, nothing else matters. >Siege seems, at first glance, to recommend two contradictory strategies. On the one hand, Mason advocates a total attack on the System by any means necessary, hence his enthusiasm for all things destructive, from shoplifting to terrorism. On the other hand, Mason also praises those who drop out of the System completely—or at least mooch off it without contributing to it. >Both strategies, however, have a common principle: whether you work to destroy it, or just drop out of it, never compromise with the System. Do not grant it your moral sanction. Do not give it your material support. And, above all, do not try to reform it. We cannot turn the clock back to a healthier time. Instead, we must accelerate the destructive forces at work, for a healthy New Order can arise only after the complete destruction of the present one. >Siege is a tool for mental self-liberation and perhaps even a guidebook for living near what we hope is the end of the present Dark Age.

So I'm recently trying to relearn how to read my native tongue, Russian. English is cool, but I don't have any understanding with it, i've just basically memorized how to put phrases together to sound good. So what are some good Russian books, or preferably some good russian translations of famous works? I'm currently using the Russian Bible and English Bible to get better at reading Russian.

I don't really read too much and would like to more. Got any suggestions for very relaxed, casual reading?

Is it a worthwhile read? Am thinking of ordering this, but I don't have a massive hard-on for fantasy. I just like good books.

'What about a Luger? I suppose you had a Luger. Or an explosive fountain-pen?' 'No. We've never been very James Bond minded here. I wasn't allowed to carry a gun, and my only car was a second-hand Morris Minor.' 'We might at least have been given one Luger between us. It's the age of terrorism.' ~ "The Human Factor" Damn, Graham Greene's work is coming across as ahead of his time. I mean, "A Quiet American", sure. This one though is just, wow. "The Power and the Glory" was a bit too seeped in religious imagery for me to fully appreciate. Took a run through with sparknotes to get all that down. It was still a hell of a good story on it's own. Anyone have any thoughts they'd like to share on their own trips to Greeneland? Anyone else want to write something in his style?

Hey /lit/ i figured you guys might be able to give me some tips regarding my problem. My big issue right now is that i want to get into an engineer program, but im struggling with my english course. My final exam is worth 50% of my course mark and its a written exam. I am a lousy writer and have a hard time writing my thoughts into paper and wiriting critical analytical responses. Is there any excercises i can do to improve my writing? Obviously i am going to start reading more. Also what are some good books you guys recommend?

How do you get yourself motivated to write again, /lit/? I don't know how I did it. Earlier in the year, in the span of five months, I ended up completing and editing a 350 page work. Now? I can hardly churn out a single page in one sitting. I blame the fact that I've finally got someone to love in my life who I feel obligated to give so much time to. How the fuck do you just buckle down from something like that and get to work? I'm just so unmotivated these days.

I am planning on submitting a story or series to Analog, the Science Fiction magazine. It's going to be a story involving a fictional game world, but I'm not posting to ask anyone's advice on what I should put into the story. What I want to know is this; if I make passing references to computer peripherals such as Oculus Rift, or games such as Minecraft, can I be sued? Example: ...throughout years past, many contributions had come forth for the game community. There was improved immersion with the release of Oculus Rift, an advanced Virtual Reality headset with the capability of causing motion sickness, and of course the the idea of an infinite sandbox environment with the earlier creation of Minecraft. Pic Unrelated.

How do /lit/erati balance the harmful rumination that can be useful in writing with the happiness and sanity required to function and survive?
