Hey /m/, I don't know if you remember me , my name on here maybe 2-3 years ago was Creepy Otaku Guy. But life has been...changed, physically, mentally, emotionally.
I've been out of the /m/ game for quite a while , and now I'm looking to go back to my roots to try and sort out some mental issues that have gotten really bad in the last few months. I took a look at some of my Mecha design today, and realised I really, really missed that stuff. I don't care if it made me a loser or whatever, it gave me satisfaction and enjoyment that little else has managed to match since.
So the first step, what sort of mecha has come out in the last few years? I'm more inclined towards the Realistic end, but if it's good, type doesn't matter.
For reference shows I have enjoyed:
Ghost in the Shell - Movies for atmosphere, TV Show for mechanical design, especially S1E02
Gundam - Especially Zeta/Turn A
Bubble Gum Crisis
Full Metal Panic
Kikaider - Very very enjoyed

I feel so, so sorry for this guy. He ended up being the punching bag for Kira and Athrun so many goddamn times. Everything he thought he knew and understood was just wiped out in front of him, twice. And all he got in return was "You just don't understand!", while being shot at by Jesus (being shot at by Jesus is my new favourite phrase).
He, and the rest of the Minverva crew, were just victims of the idiocy of the Seed cast and the childish idealism of Kira, Lacus and Cagali in particular. Come the end of the series, it's a miracle he wasn't put on permanent suicide watch.
I'm not even saying he was a good character, I just feel bad for him.
