Gundam Unicorn is freaking terrible.
Because the plot is EXACTLY THE SAME as every other UC gundam show. Unicorn is just a rehash of Char's Counterattack spread over 7 episodes. and CCA was probably one of the worst things to come out of the timeline, and that's saying a lot.
Space-Nazi remnant group #977594955739875 fight the still-corrupt Federation (you'd figure with all the changes of the guard people on Earth would actually elect someone that's competent.) Though, another big problem is most of the characters in Unicorn aren't even interesting at all. Banagher is just basically Kamille 2.0 (which means he's just as unlikable.) Full Frontal basically has no personality because he's a literal close of Char to pander to the base, and the other characters like Minerva are forgettable at best.
Gundam AGE was still bad but at least it had potential because it tried some different things. (they ruined that later but you get the point.) AGE had better characters, too. (Arisa, Asemu, Zeheart before he became stupid, Decil, and Flit, were all vastly more interesting than Unicorn characters)

Try and bear with the first part of this post, and try to help me with the second part if you can.
I'm doing an RPG with a super sentai (hurr durr power rangers) format, however I want to focus on mech battles. While I'm using sentai designs for the antagonists, I intend to have larger mech sized (aka anything bigger then a human) battles and sentai in my opinion hasn't produced many mech mooks that I enjoy, and on top of that my group knows the mooks of the power rangers so I'd rather use things they aren't aware of.
What I mean by mecha mooks I mean like the zentrati battle pods from Robotech/macross, or zakus or some other "basic" enemy unit.
so my question to you is:
where is a good place to look for enemy mech designs that haven't been translated/dubbed into english, so my group is unaware of the mechs and has no opinion on their capability, flaws or otherwise.
like 5 to 10 designs would be nice for differing situations. Gundam Wing had nice designs but my group knows Gundam Wing.

Just finished this and I got to say it's not as good as I expected. Everything after this is a spoiler, and if you don't want to get spoiled, then stop reading.
The series starts well enough, but after going to Upper Earth, everything started falling apart. Since most of these problems are related to characters, I'll talk about them separately (I’ll mostly focus on the ones affected the worst after going to Upper Earth)
Shou: Stays the same for most of the second half but starts brooding over the possibility of going Hyper.
Marvel: Her piloting skills go to shit for some reason, starts showing interest in Shou.
Neal: He is fantastically terrible, he goes from “I must save Emilie” to “I must think of the crew first (which is understandable). Much later Elmelie joins up with him, and he proceeds to treat her like crap for most of the time she’s with them. Here’s when it gets good, she gets captured and he goes “oh well, I guess it can’t be helped”, he did not give a single fuck, nor did he do anything about it, it’s like she ceased to exist in his mind (even when she comes back WAY later, he still shows no interest), only when she dies does he finally care.
Keen Kiss: Her only conflict was her father joining Drake, which lasts a grand total of 4 episodes. She then slowly fades into the background; her death was both tragic, and hilarious.
