This. I cannot express how mad I am about campers. Rushing an opponent team usually end with a victory. ARTs are important near the front because they provide cover fire for AIRs and LNDs.

But to be fair, I hate it when AIRs and LNDs leave the ARTs to fend for themselves.

Exactly. When they don't advance at the right time, much of the team suffers.

Yep. People really need to focus on teamwork in CB. It'd make the game a lot more enjoyable and easier to deal with bullshit bots.

I'm one of the ARTs that enjoys being able to actually move up from the PS. It helps to pack a Hyper Shot too for the ideal advance opener.

I logged back into this game after several weeks to check on some things, sold my angel coins and rolled weekly with the rt I got and obtained a shock bazooka, a weapon that I was needing since almost a year ago. It's ironic when you get what you really wanted but it won't get a lot of use because you are pretty much done with the game for now.

Medi Aid is cancerous?

>Armored Core, Custom Robo, Mechwarrior, the upcoming Heavy Gear reboot, etc.

I dunno about those. Can they improve weapons(firepower, bullet speed, ammo supply)? Paint jobs? The skins, plygon editing, etc.? Tuning the machine for speed, defense, firepower, etc. Can you add status effects to the weapons? Do some have something like AIRs in CB? I'm a pleb so I'd much rather have a game played in my PC.

>mechwarrior
No melee. Cannot customize your arms, legs, etc. Not all mechs can use all weapons. Very small scale pvp. The team with most snipers wins, rounds are won the moment one team has one less person than the other, developers refuse to fix the game and often spend time fucking off to Vegas. There is no aerial type of mech, jumpjets in MWO are too weak to represent AIR. Locational damage rather than a total health bar though cosmic does have locational part loss.

Gameplay is completely different I don't like MWO.

>Armored Core
Gameplay is completely different. Most of your movement comes from using a boost meter, while it is possible to move viably in cosmic without boosting. Customization comes close, but what you see at release is what you get. Only a few weapon types in AC are considered viable.

>Custom Robo
Similar gameplay, parts you add do not add any real changes to how the robot handles or fights outside of arbitrary stats, your armaments come from a small selection of 3~ weapons rather than part choice + held weapons, very small arena pvp/pve rather than larger scale pvp

>heavy gear
a game worth making a comparison for, much attention is paid into customization, part mounted weaponry are confirmed.

OK so while your descriptions of the other games convinced me NOT TO TRY it, Heavy Gear seems promising.

I checked the website and watched their preview. Apparently there's still nothing much but the graphics looks dead gorgeous.

I'll wait for this game, they're still at 14%. I hope it won't flop and turn into a glorified Halo or something. They should also add a rich armory of parts and should make customization possible on all levels.

Also, I like they added multiplayer. I just hope it's free or something and it's lagproof.

I didn't say I preferred health bar over locational. I was saying that MWO's health system is completely different than how cosmic handles it.

Even then, MWO has been handled in such a way that the thumbs up the ass damage system equates to "Shoot mechs in center torso, shoot mechs that are blatantly running XL in side torso". It's barely different, all it does is make things damage spongier. It's a system that's supposed to add depth but pretty much every mechwarrior game has given little incentive for aiming at anything other than the center torso. You can put all that effort into disarming one of their arms, or you can shoot at the much larger center torso, which explodes horribly when it loses all it's health.

It should add depth, but it doesn't, because they fucked it up.

Unreal wouldn't be the same game if it had locational damage instead of health bars. cosmic couldn't handle a full on locational damage based health model because it isn't designed with that in mind. if it comes to preference, yes i prefer health bars because it helps enforce the idea of fighting your opponent.

They are bringing the nerfbat down hard on ppc boats soon with things like overheating damaging your mech. Since i pilot lights though, i dont really mind all the ppc boats since they cant hit a flying jenner anyway.

As for hit boxes, It ads plenty to the game, such as, torso twisting, legging light mechs to take them down, ammo destruction, zombie centurions, rear torso sneak attacks, how you spread you weapon and ammo across the mech to minimize potential damage losses, head shots, whether on not its worth it to run an XL engine, always aiming for the missiles pods on a cat, or the massive cannon on a hunchback, Ect. Just because shit pugmatch players dont know anything beside "herp derp shoot center torso" doesnt mean its a shitty game mechanic.

There is literally nothing this is telling us. All we know for sure is "We'll be able to throw money at them." We don't know what premium does at all. We've had interviews with the HGA guys and they've thrown some things around, but none of it is set in stone at all.

OK we get to play for free, nice.

>or pay for premium membership that doesn't break the balance of the game.
>Premium membership
>that doesn't break the balance of the game

Unless there's another way to read that, it meant that premium members will not have any problems with the game balance and that playing for free MIGHT actually feel balance issues.

Aludra disks show up in shop every other month or so, and aren't there right now despite what >>9360994 says.

Friendship rewards are good. Have lots of friends. You'll get generics, superior,s and stat elements. The Elnath disk gives 1 of a random element and is only from friendship rewards. (also gives you 30% success assist)

For farming dispatches, it's incredibly difficult if you don't have a pretty estalished account. Vega disks cost 1k points and drop 7stat/4generic/2superior.
Rigel disks cost half of that and can drop 1 generic if you can't meet the requirements for vega.

There are sometimes server events that give out ex elements or free aludras.

look at it this way, if there's a lot of people and bazaar is on 24/7, then there's always a good number of people vending, meaning that whenever you take a break from arena you can go window shopping

where as if there's few people and bazaar is on 24/7, you're in the fucking dark as to when it's worth going window shopping because most of the time there isn't going to be anyone vending

by setting a specific time limit to a small population, you minimize the time spent going "where are the shops" and maximize the time actually browsing and buying

Is there a specific reason we are ignoring the fact that Elements are available in EX Lotto Cubes which are guaranteed drops from any of the Bastagant Bosses?
Boss runs that require only 3 bots compared to the 5-10 bots needed to do Dispatches, not to mention all the pants-on-head retarded requirements said bots have to meet in order to successfully complete the the dispatch mission and collect the reward.

Also, Dispatch Discs require anywhere from 3 hours to 1 whole day to complete, as opposed to 10-20 minutes per boss run. Even faster if you 0 star it. (do you still get rewards for 0 star runs??)

best of all, Bastagant boss runs cost nothing.

virtual on gameplay would be horrible for cosmic. enjoy arbitrarily shooting hundreds of bullets and never hitting anything because pretty much all you do in that game is strafe really fast which then causes bullets to miss SO WHY USE ANYTHING BUT MELEE ERIS WOULD DO EVEN MORE DAMAGE HF NERDS

cosmic's gameplay at a base level doesn't need to be fucked with. i'm a fan of the virtual on series in general but don't be the guy that says "other games need to be like my favorite game."

the requirements to get 100% on aludra still require quite a bit of grinding. In fact it's probably easier to meet the requirements of a vega disk by leveling 10 medi aides or some other moe they reduced the exp requirements for, rather than getting 5/10 moes to level 10, 2 stats at 30+, and multiple weapon tunes.

When will the UC Garapon and Lotto Cube tables get a re-shuffle? More importantly, when's the next batch of Arcantus Part drops going to be added? I think the last addition there was Tontrius like, 2 years ago...

This would be especially great if this happened for the more remote areas to get higher-level part drops so people would have more reason to explore rather than just power-farm Folcasta Fields.

Kinda like when they added that single Slot Protector reward for reaching the final Outpost...

I think that should be a permanent addition that resets every shuffle.
