You have such a shitty opinion. Pod racing was great, Maul was fun, final duel was emotional and interesting without getting into silly dialogues like 2 or 3, or the endless forced CGI everywhere and cheesy acting from Hayden and Portman.

Only thing that drags down 1 is the Gungans and Jar-Jar particularly. Episode 2 was absolute garbage and that's saying something even with the kick-ass dogfight/asteroid belt scenes with the Fetts vs Obi-Wan and his fist fight with Jango on Kamino.

Some people treat /m/ more like a SF board. Spaceships are a huge part of Star Wars (same reason LOGH is considered) Kamen rider has a ton of sf stuff, with a few exceptions. Like power armor, or little helper robots.

Kamen Rider seems to get a pass because it's close kin to sentai/power rangers so splitting them up wouldn't really make sense, wherever you'd shove KR discussion would probably flounder. Yes, they're not exactly similar shows, but it'd be like trying to split up Gundam discussion on one board and Macross discussion somewhere else. They're not the same shows but you'll get people with similar interests discussing 'em.

Also in ye olde days the Riders were cyborgs. Now you can say power armor and fancy motorcycles? I don't know.

This trailer looked awful.
A New Hope was an adventure movie, it was fun.
This trailer makes the movie seem too brooding, which I guess could mean there's going for a tone closer to Empire, but even then it comes off as more J.J. Abrams than Star Wars.

I'm still going to see the movie, because that's how much of a loser I am. I wasn't alive to see the original trilogy in theaters, but I grew up with those movies. Then the prequels came out and I ate them up because I was such a dumb kid at the time.
I just want to see a good Star Wars movie in a theater once. So I'm hoping this will at least be decent.

So guys, looking at the cast for VII, who is likely to be what?

From what I understand, and what I think is logical, is that Boyega, Issac, and Ridley are the new Han, Luke, and Leia.

So that leaves people like Driver, which I think is the guy with the red lightsaber in the trailer, but will probably be related to the skywalker bloodline. Or it could be Cumberbatch.

Sydow, and Serkis I feel will get Imperial roles and evil roles respectively, especially Sydow, he has that Moff or admiral vibe.

The rest of the cast I feel will be a mix of minor rebel, imperial, and 3rd party characters.

/co/ says that

>Luke becomes the most powerful Jedi ever and tries to rebuild the Jedi Order.
>Palpatine's apprentice (Adam Driver) and the Jedi Hunters / Stormtroopers begin targeting all potential new Jedi.
>Luke does some hax Force shit in a battle that accidentally causes a lot of destruction. He goes off the deep end and, fearing he might be influenced by the Dark Side if he keeps up, he exiles himself into a random planet.
>In his 30 years of absence, the Republic still isn't back and there's conflict between the Princess Leia's republican forces and Adam Driver's evil empire.
>Daisy Ridley lives in Tattooined with Max Von Sydow, an old cyborg. She finds Luke's old lightsaber at a marketplace and finds out about him.
>Ends up meeting John Boyega, a Stormtrooper, and they cross paths with Han Solo and Chewbacca.
>Han decides to find Luke and brings along Chewie, Ridley, Boyega, R2-D2, C3-P0 and Oscar Isaac, a pilot and the new owner of the Millenium Falcon.
>Lupita N'yongo is Princess Leia's aide.
>Gwendoline Christie is a descendant of Count Dooku who is helping Adam Driver build a planetary weapon to revive the Dark Side.
>Battles and shit.
>Han sacrifices himself in the end and Luke is forced back into action, which tips him to the Dark Side of the Force.
>Sequel hook.
>Ridley and Boyega have a romantic subplot.
>The Claymore Lightsaber dude is the leader of the Inquisitors, and, as mentioned, might be N'yongo for WHAT A TWIST reactions.
>Luke is mad powerful, can lift mountains and blow up armadas with a single thought.
>Ridley turns out to be a prospective Jedi.

Pretty much.
Personally, I hate his visual directing. The guy can't hold a camera still to ssave his life, and actually believes that thrashing around makes things more exiting. And I'm pretty damn certain that Disney hired him specifically for his visual stye.
So the new film is just going to look like his Star Trek trainwrecks.
I mean, yeah, he'll maybe tone the lens flare down a bit, but the rest will still be JJ Abrams vision, with filters everywhere. I'd like a Star Wars movie to look like a Star Wars movie, not some special snowflake director's hyperactive style.

So low that, in fact, if none of the dialogue contains any IN YOUR FACE EXPOSITION of the worst degree and actors actually acting it's already a major improvement

All subsequent models besides the TIE Interceptors were written out.

Soo...probably some late variant TIE Fighter, which is actually somewhat realistic if we treat them like F-18s instead of BF-109s. The same with those 30-year-old X-Wings--presumably, since TIE Fighters can shoot the shit out of X-Wings not piloted by Wedge or Luke, the same may hold true for the central cast.

I honestly don't remember which was which in 1, I'd have to go back and look.

Let's face it though, that's becuase the Hensen team are the best of the best at what they do. If the puppet was made by anyone else, it would NOT have held up like it did.
