>Lennox is described by some friends and colleagues as racist. His friend Brian Weitz (Geologist) described him as "Nazi-esque", saying: "Every once in a while there'd be something about Jews and I'd be, 'But Panda, I'm Jewish,' and he was like 'Yes, yes, I don't mean you.' He has a definite Nordic Aryan streak, [the belief] that he is physically, spiritually and creatively superior," a view he continues to maintain through his years as a heroin addict and long after his appearances on music magazine covers had become a thing of the distant past. According to Weitz, Lennox once attacked a mixed-race woman in a restaurant with a smashed wineglass, saying "I hate black people". During a performance in Berlin, the audience rioted after Lennox performed the German national anthem "Deutschlandlied", including a verse omitted since 1945 for its nationalist associations.

Get this ironic bullshit out of my library again. Everything about this album is ironic. The cover is ironic. The lyrics are ironic. The concept is ironic. The music is ironic. The vocals are ironic. I think they have no idea what they are doing or what they are singing about (gender issue, divorce problems). Except for the sake of being ironic (look at that ironic double A in Jordaan).
Definitly not recommended to Neutral Milk Hotel fans. This sounds like a shitty version of Beirut, an obnixous version of Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti and even shittier version of Andrew Jackson Jihad, another runner-up for the most ironic band of all times. The album cover insults Sparklehorse.
Fucking hipsters. This album is all that can be wrong about music and I would like to choose this as a prime example for things that should have no place in music. People that gave this positive rating (by means overrate it, by means, giving it a higher rating than absolute zero) are just rating this highly because they are ironic as well. This is the most taste-less bullshit I have ever heard.
I hated hated hated hated hated this album. Not even ironically.
0/10 worst album I have ever heard.

ITT: fun facts about musicians
>At the wheel of a rented BMW, Annie Clark crossed into the wrong lane and collided head-on with a Volvo driven by Anna Gallagher, 28, accompanied by her mother, Margaret Doherty, 63, who were both killed instantly in the accident. Clark suffered a fractured leg, fractured ribs, a concussion, and a collapsed lung. Grey received minor injuries, including severe whiplash. Clark told authorities she had no recollection of the crash and did not know why she was in the wrong lane. "I don't remember the day. I don't remember even getting up in the morning. I don't remember making my bed. What I first remember is waking up in the hospital, with a very strange feeling going on in my leg," she said at the time. Clark was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and faced up to five years in prison, but was later convicted of the lesser charge of careless driving and fined $175, which the victims' family called "a travesty of justice."
