Hi, audiophiles of /mu/! I recently got a 7G iPod Classic (160GB) to put my itunes library in (even if it is like...only half of it). So far it's been alright, and sound quality is decent enough with my vsonic iems (I don't use an amp). I originally had no intention of .rockboxing but seeing as how the *unofficial* emcore Rockbox is out for the 7G, I've been tempted to.
It's something I would have done by now, but I keep thinking, will it REALLY benefit me? I for one enjoy itunes integration purely for the fact of how fucking organized it is, and it's the only reason I prefer to *superior in every other way* foobar. I want to rockbox for flac support, but at the same time I love that amazing itunes organization. Also, I'm not so sure about battery life with rockbox...
Any 7G ipod classic users wanna give their input on rockbox? Is it worth it? Why or Why not? Does it actually improve sound quality?
>tl:dr; gimme reasons why I should OR should not rockbox.
