Hey /mu/. I'm gonna share some albums from 2012 that I think are great or noteworthy that I don't believe have received proper attention. Some are old shares, some are new, and when I run out of albums I'll share whatever 2012 stuff I have lying around. As always, you are free to join in and share whatever you think has been overlooked, but try and keep within the theme. That means no Centipede Hz's, Money Store's or Coexist's preferably. Please let me know if any links are down or any bandcamps are no longer free, I will correct it and provide a new link.
Here we go.
Cruiser - Cruiser EP (v0)
>Jubilant, accessible indie rock coated in reverb, a summer gem with a surf-y vibe that came from nowhere. It doesn't matter if it's simplistic or poppy, the execution is simply flawless. No bad songs, just the right length, even the kinda-slower songs send chills. Produced by the same guy who produced for Youth Lagoon. Copped from what.cd because his bandcamp wants $7 but if there's some kind of physical release I am ON that shit.

I was in a record shop today, and I was wondering, why is 180g vinyl considered to be high-quality, audiophile-material over other weights over vinyl? Is it a placebo, or is there actually something about the weight of the vinyl that changes its ability to reproduce sound? Would even heavier vinyl improve the sound quality further, or would it deteriorate?
