I don't really come here anymore (or 4chan in general) but today I felt like it might be interesting to create a thread on /mu/.
Over the course of the last half year, I have been completely unable to find new music that I like. I just keep listening to my latest finds to date over and over again, unable to find something new that interests me (Grizzly Bear, Tame Impala mostly).
I've even tried branching out to genre's I usually wouldn't even touch with a 30ft pole (hip-hop, singer/songwriter stuff) and although there were a few songs that caught my interest, nothing was really able to captivate me for a longer period than 3 minutes as was previously the case. Whenever I found a new gem, I could keep on listening that for months on end before moving over to something else.
I just can't find new music that I like anymore. Anyone feel familiar with this phenomenon? I really feel like I've lost my passions for music, which hurts because I used to love music and play guitar/piano like 3 hours a day, now I haven't really touched either of them in months ;_;
I just can't find any more new music to like anymore, and I don't know where to look. I've been a member of Lastfm since 2006, and attempts on sites such as 8tracks or rateyourmusic were unsuccesfull too.
I don't know what to do, anyone else feels like this? I can't be the only one that feels like he can't find anything good anymore
in b4 faggots thinking I am some kind of faggot that ''WANTS MUSIC TO GO BACK TO HOW IT WAS IN THE 70S BECUZ DAT WUZ REAL MUSIC'' etc.
