Post-Hop already exists. Just listen to upcoming legends such as Kendrick Lamar and Aes$op Rocky to see how much this once shitty partying genre has matured to an artform unlike any other. Death Grips are nice too.

Try not to be close-minded hipster then. Hip-Hop as we know it is on it's way out and we all see the birth of a new era of rapping and turntablism right in front of our very eyes. How could one NOT notice these happenings?

This is true, there is a lot of difference between the hip-hop of today and that of just 5 years ago.

His newest album already enjoys the status of being legendary and his success opened the public's eyes to the introvert world of indie rap. He's the perfect example for post-modernist contemporary street poetry.

Ok how does A$AP Rocky fit in there?

If you meant Aesop Rock then fuck off and I mean no disrespect to him.

It's not indie rap at all though.
It has so many influences, you could say the same about drake if you really wanted too..

His new and refreshing take on the tired gangsta clichés is unlike anything before. It's ignorant music for the thinking man.

I think that we've moved past the post paradigm for hip-hop. It's constantly evolving and there already is a lot of subgenres and off shoots involved. If there is a post hip hop then it has already existed. I'm sure artists and fans have labelled music as that anyway
