Hey /n/, I have a question and /fit/ was of no help. I just tried out spinning (looking for something to keep in shape during winter) and was wondering if anybody on here was into it. I had an average cadence of 80 for a half hour and a 2 minute sprint of 130 at the end. Is that good for a beginner? I'm interested in doing more. Also any tips are appreciated.

Prices for delivery?

I'm looking to sell my Kona Chute 1999. It has worse parts than the one in the picture (same frame, different bike) also, the frame has seen better days. How much is it in the UK to deliver it to someone across the country (average)? Also, how much would you pay for the bike i'm describing?

Fox Float or Fox Talas

What is the "Fox Float RLC Talas" fork? I thought that the Float models were better than the Talas models. I don't know what model year --- 2003 maybe ? Was this a good fork ? Is it worth the $200 for Push to bring it back up to specs ?

So a dude is selling this for 90 bux around my uni. I want to offer him 80, I'm ignorant of bikes but I know that you guys recommend old 10 speed roadies, so that's what I'm going for. What's your opinion? According to him the tubes are damaged. Your help is much appreciated.

What rear sprocket should I do on my Nexus 8? I am kind of small and weak (although I hope to get stronger), and have some 8-10% (or more) hills around here, and keep in mind standing for maximum torque is not recommended because if the hub slips or strips, then you crash and die. I also do flats sometimes though so I don't want to sacrifice all flatland ability for hill climbing. Currently I have a 16T, even going downhill, 8th does not seem that useful yet. I would prefer even sprocket for longer chain life. For commuting/recreation what are the minimum/maximum gear inches you use? Hey /n/, quick cycling question for you: I ride pic related, got it a couple years ago for 125 USD, works pretty well but I get a lot of bent spokes and just general wear down. Anyway, I was thinking of upgrading, and I wasn't sure if I should add some high quality parts over time or just start with a whole new bike. I use it for commuting and light courier work. Also, the picture is not of mine, I do not own a camera and my bike is dirty anyway.

So I'm building up a bike i got a decent deal on, but I'm fairly new to the mechanical aspects of bikes. My one big question is this: it currently has a FSA megaexo bottom bracket and fsa slk cranks, but it sounds a bit creaky/grindy. I'm looking at outfitting it with SRAM force components, what external bottom is compatible if i were to switch out three crank/bb?

Is this a good bike? I don't like the carbon fiber bars but shimano ultegra is as good as SRAM red right? http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/bik/3374273545.html

Thinking about getting a new bicycle. I'm fat and out of shape, and I have bad knees, so riding is difficult, but I can do it. Mostly riding on pavement, so I don't need anything rugged. My main question is should I go for free wheel or fixed? And what about gearing? I have a 12-speed, and I feel like I'm shifting all the time. But it's a steel frame and really heavy. tl;dr - free or fixie? gears bad?
