what brand tube 700c

8 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Is there a "go to" tube brand for road cyclists out there? I've been dealing with a string of bad luck with complete flats, slow leaks, new tubes with holes in them and all of that good stuff. I'm pretty confident in my ability to remove and install tubes now, and I can do them tool free so I'm pretty sure it's not me. I will admit, I just buy whatever tubes the LBS has, and a lot of the times they are unbranded or brands I've never heard of. Is there a tube brand you swear by? I know a good tire would help too, but I want to wear out my current pair before spending a bunch of Michelin Pro 4's.

Hey /n/, I will soon be earning my wings as a pilots license. I don't plan on flying commercial jets around for people though, only a small personal plane down to Central and South America to travel. Does anyone know how the costs would workout and the fly zone regulations, or a resource that would explain it all to me. Sorry if this is wrong board. Thanks

How does this make you guys feel? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aj-tpLsg3U Also, what is your personal preference on fixies? 1. Do you like them? 2. Why do you like or not like them? 3. Do you yourself own a fixie? keep it civil.

Why aren't there bike shoes with opposite direction metatarsal straps? Also what's a decent bike shoe with a wide toe box?

I have two classes ten minutes apart from one another on opposite ends of my college campus. Since it's a twenty minute walk, there's no way that will work. I've considered a bike but they get stolen very frequently here, and I'd like something I could bring inside with me (in case of rain/theft). To that end, I'm considering an electric scooter. Does /n/ have any "this-is-the-one" recommendations for electric scooters? Criteria would be lightweight, easy to carry, and fairly inexpensive. Being waterproof is a plus (not sure if all scooters already are.) Doesn't need to have a seat, hold a lot of charge (will be used maybe once or twice a week), or be particularly powerful (the second class is downhill from the first). Budget would ideally be in the hundreds of dollars. Would one of those little Razor electric scooters work, or are there more/better options?

Anyone here work on a ship?

20 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
I don't know where else to put this so i'll give it a shot. I love traveling and i think this is a good route while making money. I currently live with my mother and i'm 21 years old with no working history. So i want to work on a cargo ship starting as a deckhand that goes internationally. Anyone with any advice at all i would be hugely grateful. I need to get my state ID and Passport, and get the TWIC which is no problem. Next is the z card and i can handle all of that as well, my question is how difficult is it getting a job as a deckhand without any experience? I understand I could take the STCW to get a better chance but is it worth it? Should i jump out there and start looking for work or immediately go for the STCW for a better possibility for getting a job. I currently have no experience and only have my high school diploma. Boats are transportation.
