This infographics from a Korean newspaper says a first class seat on Korean Air's A380 cost KRW 250M (~USD 226,000) for the carrier to purchase.
A business class seat cost KRW 50M (~USD 45,000), and an economy seat cost KRW 4M (~USD 3,600).
I know airplane seats are pretty high tech stuff requiring a lot of electronics, structural reinforcement for shocks, and safety features while keeping it very light and compact (for fuel economy and squeezing more seats in limited cabin space), but how are they this expensive?
I especially don't understand how the first class seat could cost much as a house in Chicago.

LBS rage stories.
>my go-to LBS is closed, decide to try out other store
>walk in with my road bike and ask for parts I need
>guy says one minute I'll get them, other guy asks if I need anything else
>one of my hub pawls has been making a gritty noise, ask him if he's heard of that before
>no, but he'll take a look anyway
>hand over my bike
>watch him disassemble my cassette and proceed to tell me all that's wrong with it, even though it's just a little worn
>look man i was just wandering if you knew what the gritting might be
>replaces a spacer because "it should help with the problem"
>says the pins are unaligned and he'll realign them for me
>mentions something about how i'm a new customer and he'll help me out since it's my first time
>starts doing random stuff to the crank and bottom bracket
>he's literally running around the store in his skinny jeans and flannel for tools to use on my bike
>briefly pausing to tell me something new needs done
>starts rotating my drop bars into a weird position
>okay just pls stop now
>take my bike out of his service area and walk to the register for my parts
>wants to charge me for the work
>come on man
>refuse to pay full price
>end up paying half after talking to another employee
tl;dr total goofball did work i didn't ask for and then charged me for it
