What helmet does /n/ use? I've ridden everywhere with no helmet for 15 years. Now, I'm looking for a helmet. I ride a road bike to work every day. What's a good helmet ?

Do any cities besides Cleveland still use overhead electrification on their metro/rapid transit?

Give me a valid reason why anyone, who doesn't race, should ride anything but a 28mm? And if your frame doesn't fit them - get one that does, poor fags. I just rode on the new 4000s 28s and my god, what a world of a difference. Faster and smoother, why bother with anything else. So long faggot 23s and 25s.

babbies first tour

Hey /n/iggers! A friend asked me to go touring with him and his two buddies and I agreed like a fool! In total we're on our own for a little under a week, which is p scary. Its about 250 miles and we're planning on doing ~50 miles each day give or take. I'm used to around 20 miles a day with days of rest in between... They all have legitimate road bikes, modded for touring. While I'll be on a fixed gear roadbike...with a basket... I mean how hard could it be if I pace myself? >Do you think I can make it? Thoughts? You should know I come from a very frugal, conservative lifestyle. I never eat out and I am always eating healthy and exercising. Always taking my bicycle places instead of the cage. >at FIRST they said they were gonna camp it and rely completely on themselves. I though this was gonna be a fun, cheap experience to have fun with and see the beautiful countryside and cook meat on a big fire with my bros! NOW they are talking about staying at a hotel and eating at a "thai place" and I'm concerned about their organizational skills... but It's slowly looking like a credit card tour which goes against everything I stand for... What do you think? Would you go? Should I still be the odd one and bring my trailmix and banana-sandwiches even if those guys turn this into a money-spending fest?

Bikes like pic related are for dumb fuck try hards. Let me explain. You're bent over in an awkward "racer" position. You're not a tour-de-france racer, you're just some homely fuck riding a bike. Save your back from getting kinks in it, and get a bike with higher handle bars on it. Also, look at the fucking brake handle placement, how fucking stupid is that? Pic the least accessible placement out of two options for your brake handles. Ugh. Also, do you know how bad these stupid things fuck up your nuts and taint area? I rode one of these stupid bikes to Home Depot and back, and I was fucking cursing like crazy at how horrible of a time I was having compared to my cheap ass shitty 200$ mountain bike. Also, no suspension? Christ.Even on normal well kept roads, front suspension is a must now, and without it you feel every fucken bump right in your nutsack. Fuck non-hybrid road bikes, they're garbage. Road-bike fanbois are dumb pricks for defending this uncomfortable, inefficient, piece of shit design. this is my ideal bike, a hybrid. it's 400$ and 4x better than your "road bikes": http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/sports-rec/bikes-accessories/adult-bikes/hybrid-bikes/schwinn-hydra-mens-700c-hybrid-bike-0711355p.html?utm_campaign=bazaarvoice&utm_medium=SearchVoice&utm_source=RatingsAndReviews&utm_content=Default

why not comfort saddle

What is with comfort saddle hatred? They act like your dick won't work, but mine still does after 1-2 hrs daily commuter use for 8 years now. I couldn't stand the narrow sporty saddle that came with the bike, which I replaced with the cushy one. I wasn't numb but my sit-bones were chafed from them.

Let's commend Denver for their FasTracks project, as it's perhaps the finest example of unimpeded public transit expansion. Post other current projects that seem awesome.

Hey /n/ So I got these plastic Elite custom race bottle cages recently. Are they in any way adjustable to fit better around the bottle? I've tried Tacx bottles and bottles of Elite itself. The fit seems okay, but whenever I ride cobblestones, both kinds of bottle come up a bit, especially 750ml ones. Has anyone experienced the same issue? I heard camelback bottles fit perfectly so I might try those in the future, but you'd expect elite bottles to fit at least equally as good. Pros don't seem to have as much trouble with their carbon versions. Is that because these are more adjustable?

Currently riding a cheap 125 single which i have been riding for nearly 10 years. My new job is a bit further away and my 125 is less than ideal for the commute. Not fast enough to do the speed limit in places and not enough acceleration to overtake slow cars. I'm looking to buy something that's low enough maintenance to use to commute but sporty enough to have fun on. I have about £1000 and I'm looking at CBR F2 and F3s but likely for no other reason other than I liked the look of them as a kid and they are in my price range. The only problem is they look a bit dated, something with twin headlights would be nice.. I don't know, im pretty clueless, any suggestions?
