I considered asking this on /tv/ but thought that /n/ might have some better recs. I recently watched the docu "Line of Sight" and fucking loved it. Can we get a cycling movie thread going? I'm personally looking for films like LOS about bike messengers, bombing around cities and exciting stuff like that as opposed to to Tour de France docu's, but those are welcome aswell.

Who here agrees there should be a litter freeway spanning the nation of where you can bring your bike and ride as fast as you would like in some zones like the autobahn. Sure, you will encounter nignogs and poorfags but you would have s fun time going around in a motorbike. >Inb4 kikecyclists.

I want to buy a vintage steel road bike, but I don't know anything about parts/brands etc. and I don't want to be ripped off. What are the main aspects I should pay attention to?

What are you doing to do to reduce the amount of cars on the street and increase the amount of bicycles and public transportation? What are you doing to decrease public transport costs and increase funding for cycling infrastructure? Few facts about myself: age - 34 country - The Netherlands primary transportation - velomobile, public transport, grannie bike If I want to go somewhere to far to cycle, further away, I will use the bus or train. I do not own a car. 4 days a week I commute to work 12 km to and 12 km back in my velomobile. I vote GreenLeft since that most prominent party actively discouraging car use and promoting cycling infrastructure, but also other better aspects such as less dependency on foreign fossil energy, support for more animal welfare and biological farming. Next to that I am writing a book about human powered transport so I can get the word out, especially about velomobiles since they are less known but have great possibilities. I've also just started participating in local politics so that hopefully I can get a seat in the municipality house for the GreenLeft party one day. It is not that I hate cars, but we overuse them way to much for simple activities, such as a trip to the grocery store, commutes under 15 kilometer to work or school, or a doctor appointment, you name it. I think the Netherlands has great possibility. We are a small, safe country by standards and we have a good start ahead of many other countries when it comes to environmentalism and cycling.

>Since 1969 every government has focused on building freeways and neglected the railways >This was laid out in the 1969 Melbourne Transport Plan >10 freeways were built no matter which party was in government >The 10th and last was finished in 2005 >MEANWHILE >For 40 years maintenance has been deferred, upgrades neglected, railways not expanded with suburban sprawl >Suburban sprawl generated by the road focused development >And all those freeways they built have become congested >And beginning in the mid-2000s patronage increased dramatically >Which the decrepit near-derelict public transit infrastructure struggled and often failed to meet >The government sollution to 40 years of freeway development being proved a failure >Build >More >Freeways! >New planning statements drafted intent on a new generation of even more freeways and even more suburban sprawl >Labor are voted out of office for this road centric policy, the closer an electorate is to a railway the worse the result lel, Liberals voted in vowing to focus on public transit >And immediately begin to focus on roads >And are then voted out after just one term - a rarity in Victorian politics where voters are quite complacent they are the first 1 term government since 1955 >Labor is now back in having campaigned on public transport How do we fix Melbourne!?

I got new bars, stem, and a new brake wire. When I was riding it earlier today, I realized when I braked at medium or higher speeds you could feel like there was a vibration or shaking. Do you know what the cause could be? >pic mildly related, my bartape

I have a 24-speed bicycle and I'm having a problem switching from 6th sprocket to 7th sprocket. Everything else works fine. 1. Initial state Shifter: 6 Sprocket 6 {CAGE} Sprocket 7 Sprocket 8 2. Trying to switch to 7th sprocket. I hear a click but the cage doesn't move at all. It can't be fixed by adjusting the indexing barrel. Shifter: 7 Sprocket 6 {CAGE} Sprocket 7 Sprocket 8 3.
