I pulled out my old bike a while back and have run into some hub problems. Normally I use bikepedia, but there is literally nothing about the hubs. So... Question!! 1996 Schwinn Clear Creek "anniversary edition" What size cone wrenches am I going to need to adjust my hub?

Found this cute little gal hanging out in the rafters of my new houses garage. Raleigh Sprite. 70's maybe? Havn't done much research on it yet. Worth going over and making a nice little commuter out of? I'm mainly a BMX/24" cruiser kid, but wouldn't mind cruising around town in something with a bit more road oriented spirit in mind.

/n/, I'm thinking about clipless pedals. I'm looking for a system that has compatible shoes with recessed cleat that will be comfortable to wear all day long so I don't have to change shoes, and with compatible pedals that are large enough to offer support and prevent hot spots in my feet while riding. So far I think I've narrowed it down to LOOK and SPD. I think I'm leaning toward LOOK because of the larger contact area of the cleat, which seems more efficient and less likely to generate hot spots. I'm a commuter that also likes to go on several hour long rides on the weekends, and I'd like the system to be good for both uses. Thoughts? Pic unrelated.

How come this board doesn't have a sticky for bicycles? I want to buy a road bike but I don't know which I shuold buy. Do you not have a wiki, image or anything for choosing bikes, accessories and locks.

itt /n/-worthy story >bike towards 24 hour study library >just rode through through bike underpass >man on chinese shit-tier schwinn jumps off dirt on side of path directly towards me and t-bones me at about 20mph >nigga what?.jpg >thank god my usa-made schwinn is alright >torn shorts, sprained pinky, small cut on arm >he admits he was reckless >ask his name >he tries to flee >im glad i race bikes .jpg >corner him in trailer park a mile away >ask his name for tenth time >threatens to fight me >he is a bum type of guy, about 30, probably has been fighting his whole life and could kick my ass >i call cops >he rides off and I dont follow because I dont want a bum to kill me two nice cops show up. first one is kinda hot. I give detailed description of him (though I remember the bike a lot better). I know I will see him again so they gave me a number to call when I do. He was about 30 and he is an occupy wallstreet dirty kind of liberal douche. They said its misdemeanor battery. My wisened old roommate put it well, "misdemeanor battery probably doesn't mean a damn thing to a guy like that,"

Was riding my bike at 4am and my battery in my headlight was weak and I ran straight into a coffee table. Somehow I went sideways, drug it a few feet and straightened back out without falling. Had just crested a hill, was going maybe 17 or so and now my shin hurts. What else have you s/n/orks run into or nearly hit? ALL TRANSPORTER EDITION! pic unrelated(my friends dog in a sweater that is too small)

Hello, /n/ancy boys. I've been looing to get a leather saddle for my MTB. I use for both xc and commuting and i don't want to spend a big bug on a Brooks or some other shit that comes with a hipster tax. But i do want something nice that will last me a while. Does this look like a good option? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Classical-Road-MTB-Leather-Saddle-Black-Brown-White-Red-/230830027761?pt=Cyc ling_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35be8ab3f1 BETTER THAN BROOKS. Hey fellow tra/n/sportationfags, I'm going on my first biggish bike tour in a little over a month, I have 16 days off and I plan to use most of it. Just researching and wanted to get a general touring thread going, I'm leaving from the Houston area and am still planning my route and getting trained up. I plan on a minimum of 60 miles a day and would like to get out of state, any route suggestions, or places in the area that would be fun would be appreciated. Was also thinking of just going to San Antonio then Austin but that seems lame. Any tips on bandit camping would be cool too. Pic related, a breakfast smore from my last bikepacking trip.

New skate thread >pic related Those are my boards, a Miami longboards drop through with gullwing sidewinder trucks and 76mm 78a durometer sector 9 wheels. The second is my first acquired longboard, a Daybreak kicktail with mass production 180 reverse kingpin trucks and 83mm 81a durometer Bigfoot wheels. Lastly my skateboard with a good wood deck(it was cheap), and zoo York trucks oddly enough with the baseplate of a pair of mongoose trucks and zoo York wheels I think are 54mm with 98a durometer or something of the sorts. Almost forgot, the drop through has bone reds bearings, the kicktail has bullseye Abec 7 bearings, and the skateboard has Abec 7 bearings as well. If you read all that shit and still care, I am planning on selling the kicktail because I do not use it anymore, and I need new trucks and perhaps new wheels for the skateboard. My drop through is my favorite mostly because of the sidewinder trucks which make turning easy as hell and sliding is now possible to do on accident, yes you can even bomb hills with the double pivot points. So, if you read this all, post about yours, ask about mine, or bitch about something Tl;Dr: longboard/skateboard thread (post yours and talk about yours/others)

when you hear of a fatal bike accident between a car and a cyclist who do you assume to be at fault without hearing details about the incident like in a headline. i always assume its the cyclists fault unless i read that the driver was a woman

Looking to pick up a bike off of Cragslist today for < 200 dollars. Here's the selection: http://boulder.craigslist.org/bia/ What would you get? The use would be general cruising around town, getting places predominantly on roads. I do like the slimmer, minimalistic, more "vintage" looking bikes that are so hip nowadays, but anything practical would be nice. I don't lurk this board, so I don't know if people get butthurt at this kind of post, but if you do find yourself fannyflustered, just keep scrolling. Legitimate suggestions appreciated though. Oh, pic not related. It's just a raccoon.
