Steam Railroad Rankings

6 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
This covers everything known with a track gauge of 12 inches (300 mm) or higher. All rankings are based on the number of working steam locomotives on its roster, length of the line it uses, and other things. Summary: USA and UK are pretty even in scores, but when broken down by subnational entity (state, kingdom, province, etc.), England bends all the others over a barrel and rapes them repeatedly.

thief experience/stories

sub /n/ give me your best thief experience stories I just came back to the trainstation I left my bike at, not overnight I must say. both tires are sliced up and the tension belt I used for my carrier was gone. It seems some kind of sceme from thiefs to see if the bikes are standing longer than a day or so

I want to buy a bike but know next to nothing about them. I'll be commuting at least 6 miles everyday for the next year. I've seen mountain bikes are cheaper but I don't really know the difference between them and the other types of bikes. How much should I be spending? I have about 300 dollars as a budget.

Anyone got any experience with these bikes? They seem to be the most reasonably priced new Dutch mens bikes

Sup /n/ I am thinking of going to Tasmania for a holiday next year but I am having a problem figuring out how I will get around as I don't have a car or license. There are no trains. At all. Are there regular public transi buses around the state? Are there tour coaches? What's the deal?

Trades and Transportation

Hey I'm an electrician who doesn't have a driver's license and I've been doing great without one. Not only that but even managed to land a service tech job without one, any other tradesmen on here want to talk about their lives without one?

is this a good idea at all? could we just install more bike lanes?

Fucking Kill Yourself

Daily reminder that if you unironically cycle on the roads you should commit suicide immediately. The roads are intended for cars and you are not welcome there. You act entitled as fuck, hog entire lanes of traffic, cause huge tailbacks when the oncoming lane is busy, and generally are just fucking annoying. I used to work with a guy who cycled to work, he got utterly fucking demolished by a truck one morning. We only found out what happened around a week later, I could barely contain my laughter when the manager called us in one by one for a heart to heart. Cyclists are literally sub-human.

Taking photos of transport

I like buses, and I want to take photos of them. But I don't want to be seen as a bus spotter because of the strange looks from people and even drivers. I don't know what to do at this point. It's painful having a hobby which is so looked down at.
