I want to buy my first pair of cycling shorts soon. I'd want to wear them to class in the summer months. Would my penis be too apparent in them?

So I narrowed my choices down to a few bikes for various reasons and I need your guys' help to decide on one, one of the bigger reasons is because I know fuck all about components, and I need this community's hand to lead blind eyes. I've attempted to get help from other communities as well, not because I don't enjoy this one, but just to gain as much knowledge as I can, I formatted a really long thread for this so please forgive me while I spam my thread, I'll polite-sage after the initial post though. I know a lot of you have probably read my redundant ass threads, and I am sorry for that, please bear with me. Some background: I used to be an avid runner until I severely damaged my foot resulting in a long downtime that took a long while to rehabilitate, but I've since been ready to get back into shape and I've chosen Cycling to be my obsession for that aspect in my life. I ride a Fuji Nevada at work, some offroad sections of my work require a tough bike, which is why we use that one specifically, but we can bring our own bikes, and while I intend on getting my own bike and using it at work, I also want to use it every day for around a 30 mile ride on smoother terrain (aslphalt, packed dirt, pavement) as well, so a dual function bike of sorts, which is why I decided on the versatility and toughness of a CX bike. I do need a bike for touring as well, a whole west coast tour, but we'll see how this plays out first.

Sup /n/ The rear axle on my Raleigh Mojave 2.0 just broke. Bent right to the rim. I've had it about three years. Should I replace the axle, or the entire wheel? Picture unrelated.

>be total bike novice >be last month >buy my first road bike second-hand >open the box >only the headset and bottom bracket installed >rest is all in little plastic bags >now >finally got it to the stage in the pic Sorry for all the blur, I have trembly hands... & I'm aware that one of the shifters is upside down. The reason for making this thread is that I am stuck but I don't want to go to the LBS yet I don't know how/where to put the chain on, adjust the derailers, or connect up the shifter levers... I bought some cable but currently the front derailer is positioned right over top of the small chainring and I can't see how to adjust it Should I just put the chain on the small rings? Then what? I feel like a big part of my confusion stems from the fact that I actually have no knowledge of how the derailers or the downtube shifters work. So far I know that the right one seems to have index shifting, it ratchets around while the left one just turns smoothly

Hey /n/. It seams the threading on my fork is about half a centimeter too short. Is there any good solution besides buying a threading tool? I was thinking I could stack some washers to make up the extra space but I don't know if that's a good idea. This is that art bike project so I can't just use another fork at this point. >>472724

Does anyone have experience with ISM adamo saddles? I'm looking for a new saddle for my road bike, and I'm wondering if the split design is worth all the hype before I try one out over a standard saddle design.

Anyone have any experience with any flight schools in the US here? I'm fron Norway, gonna get my private license sometime in the not too-distant future, and then I was planning to attend a flight school in the states. Been looking at Phoenix East, Aerosim and Aviator College for the most part, but I'm open for pretty much anything. Anyone have any experiences to share?

Why are many fixed gear bike more expensive than average 24 gears bike with identical-looking components? I never quite understand that. Is it really just marketing hype? Or are there some kind of effort required to make a good fixie that I should know? If so educate me and I will stop being so ignorant. I'm sorry if I offended fixers.

Hello /n/ What sort of shit do I look for when buying a folding bike? I have no idea how to decide if something's the right size for me, or what I need.
