Where can I find a modern day saddle like this? I have a steel bike that would like nice with this style of saddles. I looked at the Brooks b17, but it's too expensive/requires too much maintenance.

Advice on purchasing a second-hand Bianchi (complete)

Hello /n/ignogs, I have a friend whose father has stopped riding his Bianchi road bike. Apparently he hasn't used it in 10 years. It's been kept in a garage all this time, under a cover. I am interested to buy it, but I would like your opinions on the matter. My primary worry is that the frame is too small. I am 185cm tall, and this bike looks like a 56, but I might be wrong. He has sent me pictures but he doesn't know much about bikes so he can't tell me anything else about it. How much would you pay for it? I am buying it in Paris, so Euros is best, but you can tell me in U$D and I will do the conversion. His mother has said it should sell for 200-400 Euros.. I am hoping the father isn't as much of a Jew as his mom.. They got the bike as a gift so anything they make is pure profit. If it's a good deal, does the size matter all that much or will I be fine if I just adjust the saddle height? Any pros and cons to this bike that I should be aware of before I make a decision? And no, I do not intend to turn this into a fixie with a Brookes saddle. Thanks for your attention and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Saw this shit on the Chive today, /n/. What do you think? It's neat, but in my experience, if you're anywhere where that grid would be helpful, it's more important to be seen than to see. (Say, tooling through a town.) Anywhere else and you'd either not be out at that time of night, or have yourself a honkin' floodlight or some shit. Neat concept, anyhow.

Hey /n/! I bought this old bike off craigslist a while ago. Its pretty old but it doesnt look too bad. There's some rust and crap on it. What would be the best way and materials to clean it with? Steel wool? Some kind of chemical? Also, is it possible for me to clean the crankset or the wheel rims? Thank's a lot for your help. Shitty Pic related.

Thinking about putting a few dollars into the bike. Either I'm thinking of going clipless, or getting disc brakes. To the learned and fiercely opinionated experts of /n/ I ask which will give me more bang for my buck? I live in a very hilly city and use the bike for occasional commuting and lots of bike trail riding.

Cycling Shorts

So, I've recently been going on a lot of 30+ mile rides and I was wondering if anyone could vouch for some mid range cycling shorts that would be worth the money. Ideally I'd like to spend like $50-$60. My ass can't take much more. I was looking at these Pearl iZUMi Quest's on amazon, but the reviews are pretty much mixed and I'd rather not take the chance without consulting a more knowledgeable part of the internet. tl;dr Suggest some cycling shorts in the $50-$60 price range that would be good for long rides.
