Advice on purchasing a second-hand Bianchi (complete)

I have a friend whose father has stopped riding his Bianchi road bike. Apparently he hasn't used it in 10 years. It's been kept in a garage all this time, under a cover.
I am interested to buy it, but I would like your opinions on the matter.
My primary worry is that the frame is too small. I am 185cm tall, and this bike looks like a 56, but I might be wrong. He has sent me pictures but he doesn't know much about bikes so he can't tell me anything else about it.
How much would you pay for it? I am buying it in Paris, so Euros is best, but you can tell me in U$D and I will do the conversion. His mother has said it should sell for 200-400 Euros.. I am hoping the father isn't as much of a Jew as his mom.. They got the bike as a gift so anything they make is pure profit.
If it's a good deal, does the size matter all that much or will I be fine if I just adjust the saddle height?
Any pros and cons to this bike that I should be aware of before I make a decision?
And no, I do not intend to turn this into a fixie with a Brookes saddle.
Thanks for your attention and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
buy or not buy?

Hey /n/, I need your help, I'm having a massive dilemma, there's this bike I can buy right now for £100 including pedals and 2 spare michelin tires. It's a fucking beautiful bike, but it's too good for any every-day biking in the city, I would let my face get minced before I let the ground touch it on a fall. The only drawback is that it's nigh on useless and I'd use it maybe once a month, if that. buy or not buy?

I'm going to upgrade my vbrakes to hydraulic disks, but i'm not sure which ones to get.
I'm between these two choices:
Shimano BR-M445: I'm not sure whether these are the 2012 or 2013 model (I sent an email to the store asking for confirmation), pic related
Shimano BR-M395. These are the 2013 model, and they cost about 20 bucks less than the 445.
Both kits come pre-bled, ready to install, ready to rock.
The reviews online haven't been of much help, I haven't been able to find any strenghts or weaknesses that would make me buy one over another, except price.
I know that the 445 is the equivalent of the Alivio line, and the 395 is the equivalent of the Acera line. I have full Acera on my bike (yes, I know, but i'm a poorfag student with little-to-none income)
If any of you has any experience with these brakes, or has any input or feedback, it will be of GREAT help.
Forgot to add, I do mostly XC riding, nothing too extreme.
Thanks in advance guys.

Saw this shit on the Chive today, /n/.
What do you think?
It's neat, but in my experience, if you're anywhere where that grid would be helpful, it's more important to be seen than to see. (Say, tooling through a town.) Anywhere else and you'd either not be out at that time of night, or have yourself a honkin' floodlight or some shit.
Neat concept, anyhow.

Hey /n/, this is my mountain bike, Giant Talon, 29er, whatever, any idea how much I could sell it for? If you need any info I'll supply. Never crashed/wrecked before. Got in November, etc, its only got 200 miles on it
