Stradalli. Fake or Fortune.

I'm an avid sprint racer on a budget. I also happen to need a new bike. I've won 3 minor titles with my club and on my fourth I had a bad crash on a club-owned Specialised Venge. It was written off and I was just able to pay it off recently. (being a uni student is such a hard life) Now I'm back in the scene after a full recovery, and I'm missing just one thing. A bike. I've done my research and shopping around and stumbled across Stradalli. A manufacturer with serious identity and marketing issues. However they provide the most bike for your buck, and I don't have many bucks to give. The Chinese manufactured full carbon bikes are branded with italian names such as 'napoli' and 'catina' then ships them off to Florida to be sold at top dollar. Or you can buy it direct from the (Chinese) manufacturer for a heavily reduced price. I've been reading quite a few reviews remarking on how reliable, light and genuine the cheap carbon bikes are. I'm not sold yet though. I respect /n/'s opinion. Go for it. Here's what I've been looking at: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-STRADALLI-NAPOLI-SRAM-RED-BLACK-FULL-CARBON-ROAD-BIKE-RACE-BICYCLE-BB30-SM-/270862749026

Hey /n/, did I do good? I found this in the local dump and brought it home. I know almost nothing about road bikes but its really, really light the shifters work and so do the breaks. It also came with a speedometer but I took the screen off to change the battery and test it. The front tire is completely off the wheel and the back it deflated and theres no pedals either. How expensive would it be to fix this up so it's ride-able? More pics to come

I've always wondered, is this a "girls bike" by design? It doesn't really matter if it is, I'm just wondering as I usually stay away from things targeted specifically at women due to sexism. I can ride any bike, and I fond this one in a skip

Bike Recommendations anyone?

Can anyone recommend a good road bike/mountain bike for around $500 or less. I'm pretty fit, but I want to go for rides around my neighborhood to increase my stamina and overall health.

Just had a thought about bikes. I want a tourer but can't afford one. If I got a rigid MTB frame & forks then put drop bars, 700cc wheels, etc on it from parts I have lying around would that make an acceptable alternative, or would I just have a barely ridable monster.

/n/ Designs a Flying Car, Take 2

Alright, here's the second version. Not really different from the first except I put more time into it. The same principle of flight applies: a single ICE generates electricity for 4 electric motors that drive the proprotors, which fold up when not in use. An additional 2 motors drive the rear wheels for locomotion on the ground, when the aircraft is "kneeling", at up to perhaps 20mph, allowing the aircraft to taxi without the use of its props, saving energy. There's a lot of blanks that need to be filled in though. I don't know what engine would be the best generator (i.e inline or boxer petrol, diesel, wankel or atkinson cycle), or whether to use AC or DC motors in the nacelells. I might need /o/'s help for the engine decision but I'm not sure If I'm willing to go there yet. Anyway, here's the schematic.

I recently bought some new tires and inner tubes for a bike I purchased last month on Craigslist. The bike has 700c rims, so I bought correspondingly sized inner tubes. I have the problem though that the tubes are apparently about two inches too long somehow. I haven't really needed to buy the replacement tires/tubes before, so I'm perplexed as to why the size printed on the rim isn't just the size to buy. By the way I bought Michelin tubes in a box like the picture if that means anything.

How come I never see bicyclists wearing full face helmets? I ride a motorcycle, and ride my car on track days in one but whenever I wear it my full face helmet when I go mountain biking people look at me like an alien. Please explain. Pic related

sup /n/ i have been told that this is the place to go for answers... i have many questions that need to be answered. I have just gotten into mountain biking and single trail riding as i have had an op on my ankle and running hurts too much... i fucking love it so far, but i been riding an 15 year old bike and have finally saved some cash to buy a good bike (im a student). So I need advice/your opinion on the Trek Marlin 29er for about 450USD (its imported as i am south african). What i want to know is as follows: >is that a good price for a marlin? >is it any good? >are 29ers the way forward with regards to Mountain-biking and single track riding? >are 29ers worth the added price? (i can get a sweet-ass momson 26er for the same price) thanks so much for the help!!

I gotta admit my brooks saddle was pretty comfy but all the articles about erectile dysfunction had me nervous. So I cut out a prostate saver hole. Think I did a pretty good job. Now I have best of both worlds! Has anybody else tried this?
