Hello unkown-board. I come to you in peace and looking for an advice. I'm considering buying a pair of inline skates to go to my university (5km away) because the public transportations in my city aren't that good and cuz i like skates. I'm 19yo, not particularly fit or sportive but not an obese american kid either. I'm not interested in a bike because it's waaaay too mainstream. Thx in advance for the help Pic unrelated because why not ? >inb4 trolls about skates being for faggots

Hi, I've never posted on this board before, but I'd like to identify this vehicle I saw in a YouTube video. It confused the fuck out of me mainly because the cab looks so strange. I'm also curious to know what it might carry.

Seems like /n/ has a deeply rooted hate for this brand. Why is that? I see Trek (a brand /n/ otherwise seems to like) uses Bontrager components quite a lot, so I'll assume it's not entirely shit.

Beater-bike Camping?

9 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: bike2a.jpg]
I'm planning-up for a week-long cycling trip at the end of the year, as it is the custom for me to do something camping-like then. (Last years' was motorcycle touring that ended up working at a motel for a month; the year before that was a Postie bike ride around Australia, etc.) It's been 4 years since I've done something by bicycle, so that's the go this time... So the plan is this: fix the bike up, set the bike up for camping, pick a destination, and just leave. At this casual research phase point, I'm looking over other biking trip journals for ideas and such-- stuff like http://www.crazyguyonabike.com .. However, the sites I've discovered so far are nearly all by Club-cyclist faggot types: they've got cager support, lycra, clubmates with them, etc. Can anyone post some sites that fit the "crazy guy does a solo tour on a beater-bike" kind of deal?

Can anybody tell what size this is based on the picture? I could get it off craigslist. and change up everything but the drive train which is already in a ratio I prefer.

Who rides fixed brakeless in the winter? What should I do to prepare in general fixed or not for winter riding? This will clearly be my first winter biking. Thought I would make it interesting and go brakeless.

Hello /n/, what do you think about this? http://endura.co.uk/Product.aspx?dept_id=123&prod_id=618 I like the looks, and the specs and reviews sound good too. I'd prefer firsthand information though, and unfortunately there are no shops in my vicinity which carry Endura. Alternatives in the same (or lower ) price range would also be welcome.

I am looking at my first road bike and I finally narrowed it down too. Motobecane http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/track.htm Windsor Clockwork http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/windsor/clockwork.htm And Dawes http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/dawes/sst_steel.htm I plan to get 54 cm or 56 cm frame. Which is the better beginner bike?

Sup, /o/, I need your help. Long story short, I need a skinny 16" rim and low profile tires. Or a smaller rim (14"?) with low profile tires. I'm talking racing tires, not knobby street tires. Does anything like this exist?

So why doesn't someone take this thing seriously and actually build a human powered machine that sustains flight?

Do sea planes have some kind of advantage in speed? People always go on about the H1 racer being record breaking but the year before a seaplane went 100mph faster. When you bring this up they're all like "durp but the H1 wasn't a seaplane".

Why didn't they just approach from the sea instead of doing the stupid flying between buildings approach. Same situation at St Maartins. Open sea approach or down a steep hill, everyone picks hill
