But Friday night, workers fit together a massive green steel ramp, loosened the winch on a flatbed truck and slowly lowered a 66-foot-long Czech-made streetcar toward H Street NE. >66-foot-long Czech-made streetcar >Czech-made >Czech Why isn't there domestic manufacturing of rail rolling stock in America? What do you guys do to keep cool in summer when riding? I'm finding it hard to get on the bike the past week. 38c the day before yesterday, 40 yesterday, 41 today, 42 tomorrow and 43 on friday. So, that's between 100 and 110F. Really sucks not riding, but I die after a few minutes out there. I'm not a summer person at the best of times, but this is fucking crazy. BUT! Monday should only be 28c/82F so that's good.

Recently bought a cheap ($500) flat bar roadie which I often use for commuting. It has no suspension and I was wondering if it's safe to go down curbs on it (the ones that are just a vertical drop, no slant). It feels pretty rough when I do it and I don't want to fuck my bike up. Thanks.

Brake question

Changing my brake pads, I noticed that the spring in one of the cantilever arms was almost dead, leading to misalignment (one brake pad is closer to the rim than the other) and potential rubbing. It seems they only sell the whole brake set (see picture, Tektro Oryx). So would this be a good time for an upgrade? What is gud?

I live in north England, going at a casual pace and baring in mind I'm not a professional athlete, how far do you think I could cycle in 3 months? I want to try to go to Canada but that's not a very good route as most of the distance is just water. I'd say at least Italy, maybe even Africa. How far have any of you ever cycled? Hey bike /n/uts I'm planning on turning my garage into a nice cycle workspace. I currently have a unused garage filled with stuff as storage, but I'm going to clean it out and re paint everything and slowly start turning it into my personal bike spot. I want inspiration, and also just see what kind of spaces you guys are working in. general post your bike space thread pic related, not mine, but a fair example of what talking about when i say bike space.
