Track Drops + Aero DT = wtf

Am I missing something? It seems like without either a positive stem angle, or an unusual amount of headset spacers, track drops make contact with the down tube on most contemporary Alu/Carbon frames when they swing around in a crash. How do track cyclist compensate for this? Being based about ruining their frames in a crash?

Hey /n/, I was thinking of taking a bike from Cardiff to Old Beaupre Castle in Wales, because I've always wanted to go there. Thats roughly 14 miles one way. Would it be possible for a beginner with a rented bike to make that trek if I start training now?

What's it really like to be an airplane steward? I've recently had an fascination with youtube videos of planes taking off and landing even though I have an extreme fear of heights.

hey /n/ do you think i made the right choice for a beginner? i have pretty good experience when it comes to biking (i bmx) and figured its time to get a bigger bike. do you guys think i can put a regular stem on the bike without the handlebars feeling weird? For some reason i really dont like the stem the bike came with. it feels cheap/

I have a pair of the Ortliebs (one on bike currently) which i just got today, waiting to save up to buy a Tent, and a Ortlieb rack sack and Butterfly bars. I'll post a link of the bike, also, would i be able to mount a front rack on the front fork(s)? Help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance Here are the specs and link to bike in pic related >http://www.bikeexchange.com.au/bicycles/other/bikes-flat-bar-road-bikes/potenza-nero-2012/parramatta/nsw/100295709

SPD pedals for CX

2 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: Shimano_PD_M959.jpg]
I want SPD pedals for my CX bike. I'm happy with the older PD-M959 design on my MTB. Should I just get another (used) pair on CraigsLimp/Ebai or buy the newer PD-M980 pedal. I want the narrow race design not the wider/longer trali design. I tried to overhaul some old PD-M737pedals and accidentally broke the plastic sleeve inside. Doesn't seem to be a way to recover from that. I have several pairs of SPD shoes for off-road, and my road bikes Time. So I'm not looking for an additional pedal system (no Crankbrothers, Look, Speedplay, etc..) Thanks.

What happened to that Japanese guy who used to have a thing in his vehicle playing back messages you send in? Did he die? I hope not. Is he still here?

How tough is it to get a bike messenger job today? Now that everyone's emailing documents I hear messenger jobs are in great decline. I want to be a messenger in Chicago, cold/rain/wind aren't a big deal to me since I rode in Michigan, Seattle, and Iceland.

sup /n/egroids never been here, usually on /fit/ and /b/ and yall dont have a sticky so here goes i am looking to buy a car, but i know nothing about them. money isn't much of an issue- i'm willing to spend up to 200K on a vehicle i am looking for something that is -comfortable -relatively safe -high ground clearance, like an SUV, maybe off-road capable but that's not required (just as long as it can handle shitty driveways and dirt roads it will be ok) -at minimum has to seat 5 people comfortably -general pimp mobile, i refuse to drive a shitbox Now here's the hard part... I need a car that is 100% NOT COMPUTERIZED. If it has computers & programming I do not want it. And with this, I beseech you, dearest /n/eighbors- please suggest makes/models. If there aren't any that match these specs, feel free to disregard any and all of my preferences except being computer-free.
