Hi /n/
anyone is good at the bike id game?
I found this old Legnano in my garage and would like to understand how old it is

Should either be a Roma or Gran Premio, has a "6 time world champion" sticker and a brass knight badge in the front.

Stamped on the RIGHT side of the seat tube, below the seat, there's number 18

Campagnolo derailleur, Cinelli stem, Stehl gea levers on the tube

Any kind of help would be highly appreciated, cheers

It's pretty.

Have you checked for numbers under the bottom bracket (on the frame)? I bought a 1977 bike once and the previous owner dated it using the serial number found there.

wtf why is the clamp bolt on the inside of the frame?

never even heard of the make, but sounds like it was hot shit back in the day. that badge is cool af. but man, that fork rake is out of control. it must steer like a damn boat.

thanks man

found a great site (condorino.com) and apparently the 18 code on the tube is not a serial number but a production code for Gran Premio built between 1968 and 1971

will check the bottom bracket again but i think the only code is on the right side of seat tube

the lower bolt was a trend Legnano had for some time, no idea why

it's my very first racing bike, before i only rode mtb's, so i can't tell you if the handling is shit because i suck at this, because of the fork, the bike being a tad bit too small for me or the handlebar being very narrow

riding more km's on it will help understand this

thanks for the links!

rake doesn't determine how it handles, it's all about the trail.
