>bought 99 BMW Z3 on craigslist for $1500, has blown head gasket due to leaking water pump
>take head off, isn't warped, just replaced head gasket, head bolt and water pump
>total cost of repair for parts, plus new oil and coolant is only around $200
>just resold it today on Craigslist for $4000
So why aren't you flipping cars to make some money, /o/? Fuck, I'm seriously thinking of doing this full time now.

So, I just got a call from my wife. Her car is in the shop, as it was acting up in some strange way, and I have been way to busy to bother dealing with it. She just found out that she completely fucked the motor into the ground somehow. 1500 bucks to fix everything. Jesus fuck.
So, I ask her what the hell she has been doing to the car to completely wreck the motor. (Reference, it's a 2001 Bonneville with the 3800). It has less than 150k miles on it, I change the oil every three months, and it ran perfect when we bought it a couple years ago from sold old lady that used it as her grocery getter. My wifes answer? "I don't know, I try not to go over 95 in it on the highway. I know I only had it over 100 once."
>> My face and reaction to her telling me she was driving a 4 door family car like a god damned street racer. Way to fucking go, you stupid god damned bitch.
Anyone else have to deal with this crap? A family member ruining a perfectly good car because of blatant stupidity? Or am I just married to the dumbest fucking broad around?
Passenger Pet Peeves

Most of us hate every other driver on the road, but what about the car you're in? Whether you host passengers or are a passenger, what are you pet peeves? I'll start
> Slamming my door
> Leaving shit in my car
> Spilling shit
> General dirtying my car
> Unnecessary negative comments on my car or driving
> Not paying gas money on a really long trip
> Trying to make me your chauffeur
I love my car. It's not the best car, but it's my car. If you want to be in my car, respect it. We're all 20 sum, wtf
And as a passenger
> Braking as late as possible when there's an incoming light/car/thing you don't want to hit
> Excess speed on the highway in daylight hours (those people who weave around traffic)
> Taking an excessive amount of time to park
> General bad mannered driving
> General bad driving
I mean, I don't expect great driving, and I don't say anything because being insulted on your driving is pretty offensive, but my gosh, being really bad is a case of negligence rather than lack of skill.
