Hey /o/, I need a cheap car and found a Honda Prelude for about $2k. I noticed they haven't been made since 2001, would this cause me any problems? Is this a decent car for the price or will it end up costing me way too much in repairs, etc?
I don't need an amazing car, just something that works, doesn't look like complete shit, and is reasonably cheap. Does a Prelude fit my needs?
Pic sorta related, a random Honda Prelude

-Looked at a Dodge Avenger with Pentastar V6, o god the torque steer
-Looked at 2011+ Chrysler 300 but too pigfat and too "comfortable"
-Dodge Charger is nicer but also pigfat
-Audi TTS, Nissan 370z, VW Golf R all too expensive, would have more miles and be older than I would like
-Mazda Miata's are hard to find in Michigan and overpriced when you do
Currently I'm looking into the V6 mustang. I gotta worry about winter driving because this would be my DD and fuel prices are going to go up eventually.
So /o/, What's the best sports car for 15k?
Pic is my current daily.
How to cope

A couple months ago I crashed my car. Totaled it, and the car I crashed into. Because I was shitfaced at the moment my license got suspended for 3 years (I've taken a lot of shit because of it, so if you're thinking of insulting/lecturing me about what a horrible person I am, don't bother I've heard it all by now).
The thing is, I've gotten used to the feeling of freedom the car provides. It's like I'm a crippled all of a sudden, I can't go out, I can't go places. I kinda lost the one thing that provided me with the sense that I have some control over my life. When going would get tough and I felt stressed out I used to get into my car and just drive into the night, and at that moment I knew that if shit ever got so hard that I couldn't bear anymore, I could just keep driving until I reached the place where I'd be at peace, and that calmed me down. Now that my car is gone, and I won't be able to legally drive for 3 years it feels like walls are closing in.
What my point here is, I'd really like some advice from you people, have your licenses ever been suspended and how you dealt with that shit.

Hey /o/ need some Rotary guidance, what would you do if you were me:
I have a FD with 142k on the chassis and around 70k on the current engine. I got it for dirt cheap through Manheim. The car runs and is in okay shape but has a lot of noticeable wear. There are a few issues with the car leaks oil, transmission is utter shit(grinds, hard engagements), audio system is broken, AC doesn't blow cold, interior is scratched up, ignition tumbler stuck, needs paint work/exterior work, turbos may need a rebuild too
So my options are:
1. Sell it as is
2. Keep it rotary and spend $4-5000 to get it to where it needs to be.
3. Save up and go LS
I feel like if I kept it rotary it would just continue to drain my wallet. While LS would be more expensive it would provide a more stable resell and would be more reliable in the long run.
Which would you guys do?
