What is with all the autism over displacement?

Yeah, you can get more HP/L out of going from larger-displacement pushrod to smaller-displacement DOHC, but you're going to end up with a physically larger and heavier engine for the same power, so what is the point?
Yeah, you can get a lot more HP/L with the addition of turbochargers. But guess what? You need larger turbos for more power, even if that isn't factored into overall engine volume dimensions. There is still no replacement for displacement, even with forced induction.
There is nothing wrong with using large displacement to make power over other methods. If anything, it means you're engine is less stressed and will last longer.

I was never the best driver and like three years ago now or something I sideswiped someone and said to hell with it and stopped driving completely cause I don't need to anyway and also I wanted a clean driving record in case I ever needed it for something.
Well, it's the future now, and it turns out I was right, a clean driving record helped immensely even if I had to do it by the deception of never driving. I kept my license up to date this whole time so I never had to retake the test or anything, but my new job needs a commercial license. The road test is today and I'm kind of nervous. I'll be driving one of those shortbuses for the test, I got a rental and stuff. Any advice? I know how to drive manual btw.
