Parts store hell

>need oil filter
>go to autozone
>wait in checkout line that isn't really a line, just an awkward place to stand between the two registers in the middle of the walkway by the front door
>one employee working the registers
>helping some other guy look up a part
>at least 3 other employees dicking around in the back doing nothing or answering the phone when it rings
>sitting there for at least 10 minutes while the guy is still looking up a part and getting on the phone trying to locate part
>someone else walks in needing their battery checked
>one of the 3 guys from the back comes over to help him immediately
>still waiting there to buy my filter along with several other people also impatiently waiting now
>finally the guy is done and the employee LEAVES TO GO TO THE BACK leaving the register unattended while we all still wait
>after another minute or two he finally comes back
>after approx 25 minutes of waiting my checkout takes about 25 seconds
Thing is this kind of thing happens to me more often than not with every parts store. Autozone, NAPA, O'Reilys, Advance, Carquest... doesn't matter.
The wait was also extremely long because the employee didn't seem to know anything about cars yet he was working at a fucking car parts store. Every 10 seconds it seemed like he had to call someone else over the phone. Why do these stores have such stupid people working there combined with the worst possible checkout method possible?

Hey /o/, I was hoping to find someone that could tell me a way to unlock a Chevy Cobalt without the keys and without setting off the factory alarm.
First off, no it is not my car. Second, the car just has something that belongs to me in it and I want it back. The owner won't give it back because they are a dick. I have no way of proving the item is mine to the police.
I know there is someone on here that knows how to do this and can help. Any knowledge pertaining to Cobalts, specifically would be awesome (like facts, loopholes, tricks, etc.)
>No busting any windows.
>No damaging the car in any way.
Help me out guys.

Hi /o/, I don't browse this board much, but I have a question related to the DMV, and I thought you guys might have a better idea of how this works than I do.
My parents told me it's time to renew my car registration, but didn't send me any papers, so I looked online. I entered my car's VIN and License in the California Online Vehicle Registration and it said "This number is invalid". I looked in my car for my registration and I actually couldn't find it (I know that's bad), but I did find multiple smog check documents, and the latest was in 9/2011. Is it time to renew, because I thought the smog had to be done within a certain # of days from registration? Or am I just dumb and all cars renew around the same time?
Pic related, it's my car.

Hi. I don't know if I'm allowed to ask for help here, but I'm desperate, so please bare with me. I'm also a complete retard when it comes to automotive stuff, so again, please bare with me.
I own a 2001 Ford Escort ZX2. A few days ago the horn got stuck. There's a contact switch which has foam padding that eventually wears out and prevents it from snapping back to place. I took this out and threw it away before doing any research (yes, I'm retarded). Turns out, I can't just replace that switch. I would have to buy an entire airbag assembly that's around $750. Can't do that. There's also state inspections coming up, so I need a horn that functions if I want to keep driving legally.
I was thinking of mounting a horn button on the dashboard. The problem is, I have absolutely no idea where the proper wires are located. Is there anyone with experience in electronics/wiring?
