Have you ever chosen a car over a girl?
If so, post your greentext stories!
>Be me a few years back.
>Cute blonde I knew wanted to meet up and go clubbing downtown.
>Recent divorcee, probably on the rebound. Also...
>I pick her up in my ride at the time.
Reference pic related.
>Get to a club she likes.
>Have some drinks.
>Dance the night away.
>Trying to hide my chub from all the grinding.
>We get along great, flirt a bunch, in like Flynn.
>Clubs close up for the night.
>We head back to my car.
>Parked kind of close to concrete planter box thing on the sidewalk.
>White knight it and open the door for her.
>Get in on driver's side.
>She says she needs to get out for a minute.
>She slams the car door into the planter.
>My mind recoils in horror.
>I cringe hard enough to fully retract my neck into my torso.
>Still three inches shorter to this day.
>She says sorry, I eat shit and tell her it's OK.
>Think to myself, "Well...at least I'm going to score tonight."
>Get to her place, I start to invite myself in.
>"I had a great time, but I have to get up early in the morning."
>Kisses me on the cheek, then gets out and stumbles into her place.
>Few days later, take my car to get the dent and paint chip fixed.
>Girl hits me up again not long after that.
>Think about dat ass.
>Think about car.
>Think about dat ass.
>Think about car.
>Tell her I'm busy, never hit her up again after that.
>Few years later, she got married and got kind of dumpy.
>My car was still like new when I sold it for a sports car.
Made the right choice.

ITT: terrifying road experiences (pic unrelated)
>On a road trip from North Carolina to Illinois
>drove the whole 14 hour trip straight with only the occasional stop for bathroom breaks and food
>On the highway in Illinois, a few hours away from destination
>The roads are straight and the land is completely flat. There's nothing to see but flat cornfields for miles in every direction
>It's around 2:00 am and I'm the only car on the road
>Completely exhausted from the long drive, driving in the leftmost lane doing around 70
>Coming up on a cloverleaf intersection
>Don't notice the semi merging on at first, see his headlights as he's going down the sharp curve of the exit ramp
>realize his headlights don't seem parallel to the ground and are tilting
>my tired brain takes a minute to process this
>he gets closer and I realize he's taking the ramp too fast and tipping over
>He manages to get all the way onto the highway like this, balancing on the wheels only on the left side of the truck
>I swerve onto the left inner shoulder of the highway and slam on the breaks
>As I'm skidding to a stop, he tips over and the trailers he's carrying slam into the ground directly in front of my right window
>So many loud crunching metal noises
>Watch the tops of the two trailers he's towing slide by less than a foot from my window and take off my right mirror in the process
>while this is happening, I'm also skidding off of the road, I stop short of hitting the inner guard rail as the truck slides by
>Finally I see the taillights as it passes by my window and slams into the guardrail on it's side
>Sit in my car for a second in shock
>whip out my cell and call 911, explain what happened and where we are at
>I recompose myself and get my flashlight from the glove compartment and the shitty first aid kid I keep in the center console
>I get out and run over to the truck's cab and peer in through the broken front window with my flashlight with my flashlight

so, BMW 5-series don't have all wheel drive, except for 2006 and beyond with the Xi models
and i live in massachusetts, it gets snowy and slushy as all fuck, and i really do need all wheel drive
how expensive would it be to install a limited slip differential on an e39? could i do it myself? how much would a shop charge?
i can get the thing itself for $1,300
i wonder if it'd be cheaper and better to just get a $13,000 e60 530 or 525 xi wagon
