4wd or 2wd

I only just got my license so don't have a lot of experience. About to buy my first car, and don't know whether to go for the 2wd or 4wd.
The roads get pretty snowy in winter, so I'm leaning towards 4wd solely for that. But, it's more expensive and will increase fuel consumption.
What are your experiences? What do you have, and how is the weather in winter where you are?

Dumbass/Crazy Driver Stories, /o/?
This just happened earlier today, some old crazy bitch was stalking me.
>Got off work at noon
>Go into left turn lane at the stoplights to go onto the main stretch home
>A gold SUV and 3 other cars are infront of me
>Light turns green, errone starts moving
>The gold SUV infront of me is going slow as fuck like <5mph as the other cars have already made their turn
>In the middile of the intersection now...
>Left turn light turns yellow
>Gold SUV still going <5mph and pumping its breaks
>WTF dumbass fucking move you cunt
>Light turns red as we're 3/4 through the intersection
>"Fuck this bitch peeeace!"
>Give my '99 Taurus a little gas to overtake this retard
>I'm gunning it a little bit (like 3/4 the pedal down) up until the speed limit as I pass her on the main road
>Had to go into the shoulder a bit because she couldn't decide what lane she wanted to be in, going <10mph now
>Finally pass this tard and I'm now in the right lane headed towards my bud's place
>I look in my rear view mirror and see the SUV go back into my lane, not using turn signal
>"Well shit I bet this idiots probably following me" I thought...
>I make my right turn and give it a little juice again (of what I can with this 9 second 0-60 Taurus lol) to get some distance just in case
>See her about Quarter mile behind me now, I'm about to turn left into my buddy's neighborhood
>Again she switches over to my lane....
>Inside the buddy's neighborhood now I figure I can probably lose this cooc
>Made a few turns to make sure I lose LoS of her
>Somehow she's right behind me now..
>I lose LoS her again and I pull into a culdesac
>See her pass on by..
>I wait about 30 seconds and I see the SUV pass the culdesac

Odd Advice for Achieving the Bosozoku Look?

I've always had a fascination and admiration, for lack of a better word, with Bosozoku ever since I saw a group of them riding on the freeway.
>Spent my junior year of high school in Japan on an exchange program
I absolutely love the style of their bikes and would love nothing more than to achieve the look on my own bike. Here's the problem... I own a 03 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic, a cruiser, obviously not a cafe racer styled bike...
Would there be any way for me to achieve a look similar to theirs? High sissy bars + high/pillion seat, racing fairing that has a similar style to the Bosozoku, exhaust if possible?
I guess what I'm asking is where do I go about finding parts like these that I can add to my bike? I could possibly work around and fix some up that weren't intended for other models, to fit my own
