Why do parents even buy cars for their kids, even if they DO have the money?
They should have to work for it so they can learn some fucking respect, for the car and the road.
Sure, I pulled a pretty dickish move, but still, punk deserved it.

>What is the purpose of /ovg/?
This is intended as a secondary thread for discussing various automobiles in video games. We don't really organize events or anything, but you can if you want
>No really, what is the purpose?
To provide a safe haven for racing/auto vidya fans of all communities where they can discuss automotive vidya without any rules or regulations. Stick around, you might find out some crazy shit
>What happened to /rvg/?
People have assumed that /rvg/ was only about racing vidya and made non-racing vidya threads. This is to remedy this
>Wat racan game is gud?
Richard Burns Rally, Forza Horizon, Forza 4, Gran Turismo 5, rFactor 1 & 2, SimRaceway, Race 07 (plus expansions), Race Pro, GTR2, GT Legends, Live For Speed, NASCAR Racing 2003 Season, DiRT 3, Trackmania, and Lego Racers are all universally acclaimed. Stay away from everything else. When in doubt, ask. Pretty much everything from the PSX era to today is worth trying at least once though (emulators are a fantastic invention). If you're looking to stay cheap, dig out your old PS2, find $20, and go to GameStop and buy as many PS2 titles with a car on the cover that you can. You'll find something you like
>Is iRacing worth it?
No. The only thing it does better than other sims is stat tracking. The physics are trash and most real drivers have abandoned it altogether because the dev team refuses to work with them anymore. In other words, the devs fucked it up beyond repair and can't figure out how to unfuck it.
>Anything else I should know?

What does /o/ think about the Porsche 944? Seems pretty nice for the money, depending on the flavor, but I'm concerned about maintenance. My understanding is that they require frequent, carefully done timing belt changes to avoid making pretty valve shapes in the pistons, and you need a ~$1000 tool to do it right. I'm assuming the turbo versions are a good bit more maintenance too?
Maintenance aside, how are they?
