So, I need to pull the engine out of my car. is a 91 mr2, na. I just really don't know where to start. There are a few write up threads on the sw20 forum, but they are all for turbo models. I don't imagine it would be that much different, but... just staring into an engine bay, and then glancing over to a new engine on a hoist is a little intimidating. halp! wut do? pic related. my car in my driveway.

Sup /o/. My current ride is an '89 4runner 3vz V6 Auto and i'm upgrading.
My next rig is gonna be a second Gen 4runner, 5speed, 22re or 3vz, but i'm torn between something.
In for the 90's, toyota decided to introduce a 4door 4runner, but up until '93, they also kept making 2doors, albeit not many because of the extremely high import taxes on the 2door to compensate for low sales from domestic brands.
I am looking at a 22re 5speed 2door this weekend, and the only downside is that it has 375xxx km's on it, but if i were to get a 4door with a 3.0 in it, i would have much lower km's, but not as sleek of a vehicle. Plus, the 22re is SO MUCH easier to work on.
My question to you is, would you buy a vehicle with high km's just because it's a rare find, or would you stick to something more generic for reliability.
