ITT Matthew Brady

ITT Mattew Brady, one of my all time favorite. Basically he was the first pj ever documenting the civil war and he shocked his contemporaries showing the gruesome side of the battlefield, something most people had a pretty romanticized idea of at that time.

I made a thread about this last week. Some other anon then made another thread about it a few days later. Neither got any replies and both have now disappeared. With all the L O N D O N fags on here is there really so little interest in this? By the way it's this weekend. Haven't planned my route yet but I'll be carrying my camera (a D4 btw) under my jacket like a handgun. As I approach other photographers I'll subtly pull my jacket back while tilting my head and raising my eyebrow. You'll see the trickle of sweat as their eyes register what I am packing. Their lips will quiver as they try to muster the courage to tell me "b-b-but ca-camera doesn't m-ma-ma-matter!" As I pass by them, my motions smooth and practised I'll give a knowing smile and whisper "you will never be this pro". http://www.openhouselondon.org.uk/ [EXIF data available. Last thread hit the limit. My first real shot at double exposures, I'm actually kinda infatuated with it. May I get some opinions?

I've never done photography before, don't claim to be a photographer, and this is my first time in /p/, but recently I took this pic and a bunch of others like it with my cellphone. Is it any good? Hello all, I've never been on the board before and I am aiming to be a photographer. To be honest I don't know a lot of terminology and shit like that I just take photos and I get pretty good compliments about them. The question is how do I go about making it a profession and by the way this is a photo I have taken. [EXIF data available. We used to argue about whether digital had surpassed the quality of 35mm film. Now, we're in an era where that's clearly happened a long time ago. So now, here's what I'm wondering: how crappy/cheap a digital camera can you get and still get equal or better results as compared to good 35mm film (ektar, velvia, etc)? Any current APS-C DSLR should do it no problem. Same for µ4/3, I'd guess. But how low can you go? [EXIF data available.
