Your X-T1 Experience

I know at least a couple of you have the X-T1. I'm strongly considering picking one up. I'm just curious about what your user experience has been. Are you happy with your purchase? What have you learned? What do you like and what don't you like? Any tips for a new user? Pretty open ended and not gearfagging. I just want to know about your experience with the camera. So I was playing around with a family friend's Sony Alpha A7 over the weekend during a wedding/reception and brunch the next day and this thing would always miss-focus. Instead of focusing on the subjects, it would for some reason focus on the background. Even with face detect activated, it would lock onto the faces, but not when I press the shutter. The lens was the FE-Mount 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS kit zoom by the way. Sony Alpha A7 users please let me know if this is a common occurrence or was the specific camera just borked. I really want to get into full-frame and these are the cheapest option ($650~700).

Is the original EF 50mm f/1.8 worth $50? I sold my MK II a while back when I sold my DSLR (I now have an EOS M) and I do miss that normal fast prime, but not so much the cheap build. [EXIF data available. Click here to show/hide.] Camera-Specific Properties:Image-Specific Properties:

Can I get an appraisal on this slide projector? I found it at the thrift the other day and the only example I can find of this particular projector is on a German museum website. That and my photographer friend said that Braun Nurnberg is the 'Cadillac of projectors'. I'd love to know what its worth and maybe a little history lesson if anybody knows more about it.

What are some options for printing and displaying your images really big, say 6'x4' that will last a long time? I used to print the image out on multiple pieces of glossy A3 paper and carefully join them, but maybe some of you have used one of these online services that do large printouts are they any good?

Anybody here use Foma products? Just had some LQR and Fomacitro shipped here. Does the LQR push well? Going to use it on some Tri-X 400 shot at 800.

Hi /p/, I'm not sure if this is the place to do this, but I need some help, please. I have a final college project coming up and I need to take some photos, and the whole idea is to take some like this one, projecting stuff on people, but I don't seem to quite get that look, if you could guide me on the values or if I need some backlight to define the silhouette of the model or something. Thanks in advance.

The challenge this week is reflections. Bonus points for not using a mirror. As usual, no pulling photos form your archive, the whole point is to get you out taking new photatos. Good luck and have a great weekend /p/haggots!
