Focus Screen

Hello! I recently bought a Samyang 85mm f/1.4 (manual focus only) and I'm having a hard timing focusing without LiveView mode. I heard about this alternative "Focusing screen" that you can buy and put in your camera for easier focusing with the viewfinder. Has anyone of you had any experience with these? Any advice/tips? I have a Canon eos 550D.

Have you ever found yourself unable to stop researching gear online? Do you have an unsatisfiable urge to spend hours, days, or even weeks online reviewing photography equipment? Do you become agitated or irritable if you don't buy or research new equipment? Have you made social or recreational sacrifices in order to satisfy your need? Which wide-angle should i get?

5 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
hey /p/artners, i'm in the market for a budget wide angle lens and two are very likely contenders. the Canon f4.5-5.6 10-18mm USM IS and the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8. I like to take rolling shots of cars and the IS on the canon would really help. does the Tokina have a similar feature? The build quality of the Tokina is a plus. BTW i am using a Canon Kiss X5 so it does have the 1.6 crop factor.

Hey I own a Canon 700D and I'm looking for a lens suitable for concert photography. I've gotten permission from a venue (small) to shoot a band in 2 weeks and I'm looking to invest in a new lens good in low light situations and all around good for concert photography. Any recommendations would be really appreciated as I'm fairly new to photography and still learning. Thanks [EXIF data available.
