simple question: do you like taking pictures for showing others and impressing clients, or do you feel you take pictures more for yourself? Does the actual act of photography make you happy? If no one could see your photos, would you still take pictures? Where does the satisfaction of photography lie for you?
Is there anyone on this board that take pictures on a regular basis, posts them to a website or blog, without having any regard to the publicity your work gets (without tagging, adding to flickr groups, marketing their shit on FB, etc)? Why do you take pictures if no one can see them?
I guess it'd be cool to get a general consensus, because people shoot for all different types of reasons. I knew many that dropped out of the senior portrait business after saying it was their passion, then completely stopped taking photos. Same with some wedding photographers.
35mm equiv. compact?

I really enjoy my Contaxt T3, and have been wanting a digital equivalent lately. The closest matches I can find is Ricoh GR and Nikon Coolpix A (28mm, too wide), or a Fuji x100 (not really a compact). And the Sigmas just seem stupid tbh.
Is there a decent digital compact camera with a fixed 35mm equiv. lens?
