Let's have a serious talk about Terry Richardson. In your own words, do you think people think Terry's photography is good? Is it purely because of the subject matter (eg: pictures of celebrities)? Because, we could all take harsh light flash pictures of anybody against a white background, but nobody would be clamoring to get us to take their pictures, right? So what is it about Terry? Let's hear it guys.

please!

I'm looking for suggestive images picturing sleepless nights of drugs and sex, the hazy feeling of half-forgotten intimacy and sin. Generally quite low saturation, or even black and white. Lots of closeups/odd angles and some blur to it. Does anyone know of any photographers who do this stuff, or what the style is called?

Please Help: How was this look achieved?

It's my first time on this board, so I am so incredibly sorry if you get people like myself starting threads like this a lot / asking amateur questions. But I've been trying to research for a long time now how certain photographers create this look in their photos, but i'm at a loss. I'm specifically meaning the atmosphere of the photo colour wise, texture? the almost vintage feel. Things seem a little bit faded? Any help is really appreciated, i'm also super sorry if these kinds of photos have a bad rep on here or anything like that.

Ilford HP5 - not enough developer in tank?

17 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
Today I tried to develop a roll of film in Ilfosol 3. I've developed film before with D-76 but this is my first time using Ilfosol 3. My steps were as follows: Gentle agitation for first 30 seconds, then every 15 seconds at the end of each minute. I shot HP5 at iso400 and followed the times exact as on the Ilford website. The issue that I have is that when I took the negatives out of the tank, they had what looks like light leaks on them. I read online that this might be caused by too little developer in the tank. Any Ideas on what caused this? [EXIF data available. Click here to show/hide.] Camera-Specific Properties:Image-Specific Properties:Horizontal Resolution240 dpiVertical Resolution240 dpi

Hopefully this isn't too stupid but I've always been interested in film making. The only problem is that I don't have anyone to film nor do I know what to film. I'm not trying to be like some professional but I would like to git gud. Any of you anons know where/how I can get started? I have premiere/effects and a D3100 (kit lenses)(I know its not the best but it'll have to do for now). I did take a film production class back in high school if that helps. I just wanna film and edit shit.

It's been a while since I've lurked /p/. Probably a bit over a year and a half. The reason is I fell on harsh times and ended up having to sell all of my gear to make ends meet. Since then I haven't been able to bounce back and it's been killing me that I haven't been out shooting in nearly 2 years... I've seen some campaigns on GoFundMe where people are asking money for cameras, I was wondering if /p/ has had any success with it? I've been getting my fix with point and shoots but I wanna go big like I used to. DO you guys think I'd have a chance to raise enough money to buy a sony a7 or a6000 with a couple of lenses? New lens help

20 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: ]
New Sigma 30mm 2.8 arrived today. I tried doing some tests and it seems like there's hardly and difference between the Sigma and the Sony 16-50mm kit lens. I don't know what i'm doing but for consistency I set the Sony at 30mm, and had both lenses at f9.0, 100iso. I also might be doing it wrong by taking a close up photo, but the only noticeable difference for me is the Sigma has slightly sharper edges. I thought I was going to see a crazy difference in sharpness. Was this meant to be it? I'm new to photography so I don't even know what to expect from a lens. Can anybody chime in?
