newbie with an 8mm film camera

Ok so feel free to report / hide this if it's not supposed to be here, but since the film board is a hub of pedos and shitposters I felt like this would be my best bet. Anyways~ I found this at a thrift store for like 30 bucks. I've always loved the look of 8mm film and I figured why the hell not, so I picked it up. I'm just wondering where I can find film for this and how difficult the process would be to get it onto a computer. ANY sort of information would be super helpful, I'm not familiar with 8mm at all. Thank you! [EXIF data available. >I went to the promised land, I found out the promised land isn't quite heaven. Hey there guys, just posting to make you sad. First up. Film Is Dead. Pic related is the world famous Yodobashi Camera Shinjuku film cooler. All dat glorious 4x5 and 8x10 slide film, all those 120 pro-packs, many emulsions. Hate to break it to you guys, but the boxes are all fucking empty. Special order only. The prices aren't anything special. There is a better range of black and white emulsions available in Australia. Acros 100 is it. You might find the normal Ilfor or Kodak range too. For 35mm colour, you're shooting Fuji, unless you want to pay through the ass for overpriced Kodak. Special emulsions include Superia 400 Premium, which is a few hundred yen more expensive and gets you "better" Asian skin tones, Venus 800, and Natura 1600. As we all know, fast film is for children, and looks like ass, unless you overexpose it, thus making it slow film, so I didn't bother. Then there's Fujicolour 100, which is cheap and sharp. Then there's Velvia 100 and 50, and then nothing. In 120, you get Fuji Pro160NS, Fuji Pro400H, the Velvias, or you're back to highway robbery prices for Ol' Yeller. When you're not at Yodabashi HQ, and you find a little print shop that still has some film for sale, it's in 3x27's of 400 Premium, or fuck off. You can't buy film at non-photo shops. You can develop film at print shops, which are reasonably easy to find, but they're all run by super old people who would have retired 15 years ago anywhere else. They mail out E6. The prices are as per normal. You will be treated like a crazy person when you ask for film or film services. Japanese people will *not* use expired film, if you see some on a shelf in a little print shop, ask to buy it and there's every likelihood they'll give it to you for free. I was given 4 rolls of Provia 400X (pic related) and 2 rolls of Neopan 400 by the old gentleman I got to process my film. He treated me like a crazy person. [EXIF data available. Realistically, What Photography and Videography businesses can make money? And I do not mean >hurrdurr high end fashion photographers make heapz I mean more specifically, realistic businesses the average photographer or videographer could start and actually make a great living with? For example, the most obvious choice >Weddings An industry that does not decline even during a recession, is always in demand and as long as you arent a complete moron, can network and make a basic website you could enter the market and start making money, as opposed to trying to get work for some high end fashion designer. But what else? Specifically for you videofags out there, what market can you realistically enter and make GOOD money? Why am I asking? I know a Canon explorer of light who makes less than the average wage and has to work a fucking shit 9 to 5 job to make ends meat, so fuck that shit.. I want to make money with the skills I have not struggle for life.

35mm or 55mm lens for street photography

I'm going to buy my first fixed focal length lens in a few days. As I'm interested in street photography I'm thinking about the Nikkor 35mm 1/1,8G or the Nikkor 50mm 1/1,8G for my D3200. Which should I choose? [EXIF data available. Click here to show/hide.] Camera-Specific Properties:Image-Specific Properties:Image OrientationTop, Left-HandImage Width720Image Height720
