Ok /p/, so i stumbled upon my mom's Nikon D3100, which she bought and came with 18-55mm and 55-200mm lenses. I'm gonna be honest and say that i only have basic knowledge of how to use it, (i.e shutter speeds, aperture, iso and such since i began taking a photo class at my highschool) My friends want me to help the take some pictures with them for some shirt designs, so i just wanted to learn how to take better shots and work my way around the camera and how to use the lenses appropriately. Help would be much appreciated.

i'm stuck in a rut at the moment. i'm stuck doing the typical glamour shot that every wannabe model is after and im completely bored with it whenever i pitch a new idea, the models either cancel at the last second or completely dictate how they want to be shot. i can barely line friends up due to scheduling or them just not being interested how do you guys go about convincing people to do a shoot?

So /p/, What B&W developer do you suggest? I've decided to start doing some development at home and I'm just curious to see what you guys use. I guess the standard is Kodak D-76... But what do you guys use? Do you use wetting agents? What about clearing baths? What's your ideal chemical set up? I don't use any brand of film constantly...just whatever I can get my hands on at the time. Mostly Kodak stuff I will admit. General self development thread.

As a photographer, do you think you could create a photo this professional looking? (ignore the watermark)

In need of a bit of help /p/ I've owned a DLSR for 3 years now (first a Nikon D3000 and I now own a Canon Kiss X4). Throughout the few years I've got a few alright photos but can't come up with anything original ideas of how to get photos, I know if any of you tell me how to they still won't be original but I just need ideas at the moment Also, I don't think I've quite grasped photography well enough yet so if you could contribute any basic/intermediate must knows and things like that, I would be more than grateful. Pic related, it's mine. Might dump more, might not. [EXIF data available. How did Salvador Dali create this image? I really like photographs where things are flying around in pandemonium but I can't figure out how they were created.
