Has anyone seen sure signs film is "coming back"? I remember reading the other day that some guys launched recently a 127 slide film roll. Now, why the fuck would they do that? I dunno, but at least people are producing new film. Cant find the article, though.

So I saw this. Basically a way to animate a still image. Looks really neat and I could find several uses for these. >granny's digital picture frame will give her memories from the 60s But FUCK man, they want $300 for this shit? >what is TPB?

Portraiture

Hello /p/. I am new to photography, so I am asking for your advice. I am looking forward to portraiture; I am planning to buy a digital camera with an objective, which lens's focal lenght is about 80 mm. I believe that this is good for taking portraits? Any advice on photography overall or portraiture? Thanks in advance.

I'm wondering how this particular photographer achieves these effects in her photos: http://blog.rebeccacairns.com/ Some examples...perhaps someone could reply about each one linked... The faded look here: https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5666/20734296924_6f6edaef26_b.jpg and https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5691/22494512484_f4dd2982e3_b.jpg The unusual colour tones here: https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7379/16269664350_6fda2556d8_b.jpg and https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7508/15751166676_a1ef3b1c93_b.jpg The slight blurring here (which I think is obvious, it's just out of focus or the shutter speed was longer, and the camera moved?): https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5039/14260287673_aac76dd1e3_b.jpg and https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3692/10863382565_39111964ae_c.jpg I think this girls work is beautiful, and while I don't want to copy her style or anything, I'm curious of her techniques. I know it's all done on film, for one, which gives peculiar options for creativity. But I don't know much about film, so I'm asking. tymv [EXIF data available. Trying to print this pic using some nearby store preview service but in the previews it looks extremely blurry. I've never done this before and am only doing so for a test but why is the preview blurry when it should look like the above photo quality-wise? Will it print out blurry or is the preview just unreliable and will come out normal?

Hi /p/ I'm struggling with the pic related picture. I want to erase the parts that I've marked in red, but I have failed since I'm not very good with PS and LR. I was wondering if you guys know how to remove that parts using PS or LR. And which software amongst them you prefer. I've tried with the PS clone tool, but it is not working for me due to the different tone of the "sky" (the cloned parts are more clear than the parts that I want to cover). Any suggestion will be highly appreciated. Thank you. p.s.: girl on pic related is my gf.
