Ausfag here, looking for a cheap but reliable camera with good image quality. Had my eyes on the wx350 for a while now, but not sure if I'm willing to spend that much on a camera when my phone will be used to take most my images regardless. Any advice? Any solid budget options? Saw a wx350 on eBay for 150 aud a few weeks ago, not sure I'd want to spend more than that anyways. Got any advice for a poorfag? Here's an image of my puppy taken with my phone so pic kinda related? [EXIF data available. Do you know that you can take photography classes on coursera.org? This is the first one in their specialization: https://www.coursera.org/learn/exposure-photography Is anybody else taking these? I just finished with the first one and I honestly don't know what should I think. Pictures shown and discussed in the class (main topics are vantage point and framing) are very mediocre to my untrained eye. What really sucks though is that you can't participate in exercises if you don't pay for the course and you only audit it. At first I thought it was just a lot of babbling about how the course presenter took his photos and what he was thinking. But I figured then that I should think more about the scene when I'm taking pictures. So this is kinda my takeaway from the first course. Would love to hear someone else's opinion. Pic related is from the instructor of the course.

Hello, /p/ Beginner photographer here, I need your assistance on how to guide people to pose for photos well. Are there any good cheatsheets or something for this kind of thing? Perhaps you can tell me about your own experience on what works best for pictures? Talking about simple photoshoots with friends & family, nothing too fancy or for earning money (yet) both portraits and full body shots thank you in advance!

Hey, /p/ I need some advice. I recently had a company reach out to me if I could be a stringer this season to cover some football games. I figured that I shouldn't turn down the opportunity for photography related work especially if there's compensation involved. The thing is though, is that I've never shot sports photography. My portfolio has always centered around model portraiture and street photography. However, I shoot with a babby's first rebel and push my skills as much as possible to compensate for the gear. It's limited at lowlight and the only telephoto I have is an 18-135mm zoom lens. I might be able to borrow a friends 75-300mm though. I also own a 10-22mm lens, but how often are wide angle lenses used for sports photography with good results? I also have the nifty fifty for portraits, but I'm sure they're gonna want more action shots than portraits. I don't have any funds to upgrade and I don't have the specifics either of how much I'll be making out of this, so I don't think I should invest in gear yet. My question is, what can I do short of racking up my actuations during the game to get decent shots? What kind of shots should I go after to get into the rhythm? I think the majority of the school games are held in the evening/night which also adds another challenge. [EXIF data available. Is it a good idea to buy a good lens for an entry-level body? I have a Canon Rebel T3i. The crop factor is 1.6, and I've been considering buying a Canon 70-200mm, but I don't know if the crop factor and my less powerful body will render it useless or not. I want a Mark III but unfortunately that's out of my price range, and I don't know if there's a cheaper Canon full frame available. What are your thoughts? [EXIF data available.
