Do you develop your own film, /p/ ? How much do you pay for C-41/E-6 + prints?

It's Jeff, the highschool quarterback that tormented you for your geekiness back when you were still undergoing puberty. I can see you haven't gotten any less dorky since the 10th grade. Is this really what you do for fun? Take pictures of random litter-strewn alleyways and girls who agree to model for the free profile pictures but with whom you would NEVER have a chance of getting laid? Pathetic. Anyway, it's too bad you never learned to handle a pigskin the way I could. I'm currently the star player on the team at my university, and I'm already getting connections in the NFL, so I'm pretty much set for life. Tell me, has National Geographic contacted you after seeing that really cool picture of that bush with a bit of snow on it that you posted to Instagram yet? lol. Anyway, I thought I'd just let you know that my football team is having a Winter Formal dance with the members of the cheer leading team and we need a photo-sissy to get pictures of the event. Since pictures like these probably are worth more than the rest of the shit you put in your portfolio I assume you'll have no problem doing it for free. If you do a good job maybe we'll let you come get shots at our next game, I bet you really get off to taking photos of built men playing sports. Anyway, if you're interested, show up to the University outdoor pavilion this Friday at 6:00. Just remember to keep your spindly, greasy hands away from the girls. They're quite loyal to us and quite frankly you don't stand a chance with them. Smell you later dork.

Is 35mm really that good?

So I read on that other website that converting movies shot on film to 4K is easy because even 35mm is vastly higher resolution than most digital cameras. To that end I got some 35mm film, a good Canon body and shot some photos, developed them and scanned them with a pretty mid to high end film scanner from Epson and they just kind of suck. I don't mean composition wise, I mean quality wise, they're super grainy and fuzzy. How on Earth is 35mm supposed to beat digital?

Hey /p/. So I mainly shoot portraits and fashion stuff for fun but I feel I'm not particularly good at scouting good locations, I was wondering if you had any recommendations for sites/methods of finding good locations for shoots both indoor/outdoor. Still just a begginer. Looking for input of some of my photos. Wondering if I may benefit from purchasing a couple new lenses (A 50mm for portraits, and a higher quality lens for landscape), or if I should keep practicing with my kit lens, till my skills improve. Newfag to SLR and photography in general

I received a Nikon D3300 with a 18-55mm VR Lens for Christmas and I'd like to ask for a starting learning point how to use it to the fullest. Never really used an SLR camera before. For example, I have pretty shaky hands and the VR image stabilization doesn't seem to work at all, even when it's enabled on the lens itself. Also what accessories are a must? Picture in the post is from playing around with the camera for a few hours. EXIF data retained in image for maximum judge. [EXIF data available.
