Who's the most overrated famous photographer? Why do you think they're a hack/unremarkable?

I've been calling his drunk ass for a couple of weeks trying to get him to come back and he said a few things that I thought you guys might find interesting. (Yes, I know him IRL. I used to work for him.) 1: He lurks but won't post. He once said 'There are so many threads I wanna fuck with.. but I don't dare.. even as anon. Mods might call me out on my faggotry.' And he mentioned 5hoes new streaming site a couple days ago. 2: About an hour ago he texted 'I would be a big douchebag if I started posting again. Those fuckers hate me enough already.' Knowing him as I do, this means he misses /p/. AND, just for your information, the guy really is everything he makes himself out to be. Money, no fucks given and 'hey gurl, yoo wan sum fuk'? We went out 'for a few drinks' twice and he got me laid both times. 'For a few drinks' in apostrophe because its never a few. First time was Excalibur and Trump Tower. Second time, we ended up on Tybee Island in Georgia (1000 miles from home) and he was jamming 'Addicted to Love' on stage with a band but, he was singing 'Addicted to Chuck' instead. He really has a charisma thing going on. To this day, I have no idea how he bullshitted his way onstage. So, as a non-tripping anon who actually knows the guy, I ask: Do you want Bass to come back? I think he wants to know that /p/ misses him as much as he misses /p/. >if you don't want Bass back - STFU. >this is an appreciation thread.

I often see things on the web about people being tracked down via exif data. On the average photograph taken with say a DSLR camera what personal information is obtainable from the photograph? I don't see anything in it apart from technical specifications.

Could you give some comments/critique/advice on this one? Used a kit lens for its wide angle.

Hi /p/ A long time ago I did a photo dump to /trv/ of my trip to NE India, and someone from here invited me to post the dump here. I didn't get around to it until now, but I also think part of me is fearful of the criticism. I am not a photographer, I've had no formal training, and quite literally got the camera ~two weeks before the trip. But anyway, I'll post a few (4 or 5) and if more is wanted, I'll do more. Hope you all enjoy! >Also, yes, I went to the root bridge place.

Digital For Street Photography?

17 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: umekayo_danshi_01.jpg]
I have been using a little old Ricoh GRD for street photography. It is just about perfect for this application. The only problem is that it's sensor is that it doesn't deal well in low light (high ISO are super noisy) and I'd like something that had a little powerful a sensor. I was thinking about buying something like a Four Thirds or APS-C based camera (or even something full frame like a Nikon D600) to take over my street stuff? Any suggestions?

fuck nikon service!

sup /p/ersonal diary i've just come back from nikon service where they were suppose to repair/replace my d800. those idiots are incompetent as fuck. pic related is 100% crop from 36mpix image. it's only visible when you zoom a lot and only on dark edges in one particular vertical line 580 pixels from right edge. those "experts" after one month of analysis and a lot of phone calls with guys from shop where i applied the waranty service decided it's: "chromatic aberation, property of optical systems, not a flaw" also... now there is also dust on my sensor. --- does this flaw have a name?

Hi /p/ New to photography, taught myself. This is one of my best pictures of notable quality. Taken using a Canon EOS 650D, I know that is a fairly amateur camera, but I do not have a lot of money. Taken with a canon EFS 18-55mm lens. >tips to become better? >pros and cons of pic? Thanks. [Taken in Scotland] [EXIF data available. is there a way to turn an old film camera into a digital one? I don't mean digitalising film rolls but to actually put the images I take to an sd card or something instantly.
