Tony has confirmed https://twitter.com/tonynorthrup/status/855512293509132288 AF speed that rivals the D5, D500 and 1DXm2. With AF points that cover 93% of the screen. With higher framerate. Without any OVF blackouts. This shit is going to be epic-

Large Camera Bin

Okay, I know this seems like a ludicrous request, but please humor me. Are there any camera bags in this "cube" style that are larger than the one pictured? Preferably one that can fit a fully assembled DSLR with a battery pack / vertical grip. In fact, are there any bags that support a camera with a battery pack? I've scoured the internet, but nothing seems to fit the bill. Any help would be appreciated.

viewfinders

what's the advantage of a viewfinder in mirrorless cameras? screens are bigger, they usually have higher resolution, they have more room for info like histograms or zone focus and it's easier to look at stuff that's not in the frame why do people also go as far as adding optical viewfinders on some compact cameras like the GR?

I sure none of us print out many of the multitudes of photos we snap from our smartphones and digital cameras, preferring instead to keep them digital and store/modify/retitle/reorder them as needed. But pre-2001 this just wasn't done; you got negatives developed and stored the finished photos in a photo album. Or your parents did. My point is, lets assume I can scan in old physical photographs with 600-1200dpi scan res, and I save them as [insert lossless format here], I order/retitle them, fill out missing exif/tag data as needed/provided, date taken etc., and back them up: Am I at any point justified, once all of the above has been done, with physically destroying/burning the photographs and albums, for no other reason than "I have too many/difficult to store/I wish to modernize and declutter." Photo Project/Challenge

I recently went to Bangkok and as a sort of challenge, I decided to ride to each station of the BTS Line (two main train lines in the city), giving myself 10 minutes in each to take pictures. With two breaks, it took around 10 hours and more than 900 pictures to finish it. I condensed them down to around 80 or so pictures, so please be patient with the dump. Not really looking for thought out feedback for each of them with that amount but if there are any that stood out (positively or negatively), I'd be glad to hear that feedback. Gonna be dumping in chronological order, starting with the Sukhumvit Line. Mochit N8 1/3 [EXIF data available. I'm filming my first wedding with my new Panasonic GH5. Already have a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art Should my second lens be the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 Art or the Voigtlander NOKTON 25mm f/0.95 (keep in mind that the Micro 4/3 sensor means the 25mm crops to a 50mm) [EXIF data available. Here's a dumb Superia 400 snapshit The bottom is the lab scan, the top is how I expected it to look and how I treat it in post What's going on here? Did I overexpose the shot? Did the lab turn the brightness and change the tint too much during scanning? Which one would you say is a better look? Ignore that it's a dumb snapshit, it was just the most obvious example I could find

Thoughts, /p/? Pros: >Easy and cheaply adaptable to mirrorless micro 4/3's >Built to last so much they could be able to work even after killing a man by smashing the lens on his head >Razor sharp with minor to none CA on some SP models >They're becoming even more and more affordable since regular people tend to favor lazyness by point&shoot(?) >Make your own set that both work for enthusiasts and professionals for around 500$ >Cheap decent alternative if you have a camera with built-in OS >Smartly built for easy access to the interior for mortals in case you don't want to spend money on a pro lens cleaner Cons: >No AF >Jesus fucking Christ, the weight >People might think you have daddy issues due to how big and hard your lens is compared to your tiny little modern APS-C mirrorless camera body >Pick related

Is the Fujifilm x100F worth the money? Thinking between a sigma Quattro or a x100f. The x100 is pretty up there in price so I figure why not just spend more for the 24mp sensor upgrade, or maybe get a foveon system. Bayer sensor cucks need not apply, see pic related for why.
