Hey /p/. I've been shooting for roughly 2 years and seem to have recently stagnated lately. I want to get a 35mm nikon film camera (because I already have F mount lenses) to sort of relearn photography through. I was spoiled by digital and I want to be broken back down so I can relearn how to shoot. I'm debating on getting either the more modern F5 or an older manual focus SLR, possibly the FM2. What are your suggestions? [EXIF data available. What mode does /p/ shoot in? Be honest. I personally shoot mostly in aperture priority. I keep my aperture at my lens sweet spot and open it if I want borkeh or if it's getting dark. The in built light meter of my camera works fine and if it under or overexposes a bit I can correct it in raw. The only time when I go manual is when I am shooting long exposures or if I want to shoot at a very high shutter speed to freeze motion.

Surely once camcorders are capable of producing 30mp footage - the DSLR will become defunct?

is it a bad plan to go from never having taken a photo before -- straight do a DSLR? i was looking at the t4i or t2i. leaning more twords t4i because its better for videos. (want to shoot mostly photos of nature, people, animals, but some videos). also, what type of lense(s) should i be looking for? ive heard 50mm and pancake lenses are generally good, but what does /p/ reccomend for my first lense?

Hi /p/, What -if there is any- is the best technique in creating stereoscopic(cross-eyed) 3D photographs? At this time i'll mostly be using my iPhone 5 camera, planning on eventually buying 2 DSLR camera's. pic related, i usually just take 2 pics, moving my iphone about 1CM to the right between shots. Stitched them together using "frameMagic" [EXIF data available.
