Shooting Street With My DSLR!

21 more posts in this thread. [Missing image file: 21.jpg]
I love street photography. I usually shoot with an old film rangefinder or P&S, but on a few occasions I've taken my big old DSLR. The thing is it's a Nikon D700 and the only decent prime I own is the Nikkor 50/1.8 G. I was wondering if there was another decent prime in the 20mm-35mm range I could use specifically for street stuff. >TLDR I want a nice full frame Nikon prime at either 24mm, 28mm or 35mm

HDR /p/ Technique? I shot a t3i Currently I am trying to do panorama. Am having trouble keeping my HDR consistent despite using same settings/import.. Is this an auto white balance thing? Also, what's up with 32bit image toning in ps? I see one thing when I am setting up importing and it's basically black after import? >>panorama Do you apply lens correction after assembling? 'ello /p/, a while ago my girlfriend got a DSLR and every once in a while I've been stealing it to take some pictures, and then editing the shit out of them. Today I stumbled unto this board and thought I could dumb some, and ask your opinion on them. Critique and advice on how to improve would be appreciated. Advice more so. [EXIF data available. many people say that composing your subject in such a way that it is "looking out of the frame" is a mistake. I took this photo and later was like, "why did I do that?" but is that ALWAYS a mistake? in what situations does it work/not work? (pic relateds would be nice, OC or not) [EXIF data available. So, fast question, been lurking the webs but haven't found anything. I want to try and make a DIY tripod for my old ikonta 521/2 camera, the thing is thati have no idea what screw threading uses or what should i use, i have measured it's diameter and its at 8mm. i've tried looking up for the iso's of frequently used threading, but they are on old standards. should i just buy any 8mm screw and that would do it? anyone has experience on this subject? pic related

Hey /p/ I really like photography and am looking to take some better quality photos than what my iphone can do this summer. I am traveling to Zimbabwe for two weeks and am staying just outside of Victoria Falls. I have about $100 for a small form factored digital camera. The Canon Powershot is a little out of budget. What would you recommend? I will dump some crappy photos of my trip out to the Great Sand Dunes National Park.

Dear /p/ I bought a manual prime lens for my Pentax Kr. It worked good enough, but after a while something broke. The focus beep and flashing rectangle in the viewfinder don't show in the right spot and the picture is always out of focus (on big apertures at least). It works when I focus on the lcd screen but that's very slow to do. Anyone had that problem?
